Welcome to a podfic love meme! Specifically, a love meme for all contributors to the podfic community. (ty analise010 for coining that and to yue_ix for the gorgeous art below!) "Contributors" could include but isn't limited: podficcers, audiofic archivists and other infrastructure people, mods, meta writers, cover artists, and betas/cheerleaders.





Some information so that we're all on the same page!

1) Comment with your name if you want to be loved on!
Because some of us have better visibility in some parts of fandom than others, feel free to leave a short bio, links to your social media handles, links to what it is that you do, or whatever context you think is important.

2) Tell us what you want love for.
If you'd rather hear more about your podficcing than your work as an archivist, say so! If you want to hear just about your cover art, say so! If you want to hear about your modding AND your meta AND your podfic, say so! Help us make this as good an experience for you as possible.

3) Let us know if it's okay to befriend you.
With potential full-on bios floating around, we're getting into friending meme territory. If you're open to that, include that somewhere in your comment.

To make links work, you have to do a little bit of HTML coding. Use this code if you'd like:

Your adress starting with HTTP:/... URL goes in the URL (keep the brackets there), and the text you want people to be able to click on is the CLICK text. You can use the "preview" button of a comment to check your comment beforehand and make sure it displays okay. :)

Ok, I told myself I wasn't allowed to participate until I was finished editing auralphonic, but it's exporting now! So:

1) I'm paraka, and parakapodfic (I've got handles elsewhere I'm not not really active elsewhere). I'm a podficcer, I run a podcast, Auralphonic, about podfic, I make a lot of my own coverart, I've set up a number of podfic resources, and run a couple podfic comms (mostly in the past), I host a lot of podficcers.

2) I'm happy getting love for anything, but above I listed the things I do in order of preference of what I'd most like to receive love for. :)

I'm a fairly mono-fannish (Person of Interest -core four and the AIs) lurker, so most of my podfic fandom involvement is reblogging recs and announcements on tumblr, hearting status updates on twitter, and leaving comments on pretty cover art that crosses my DW reading page. *waves* Hi everybody! I'm Chantress here on DW and AO3, and I'm a podficcer with a bad habit of falling hopelessly in love with sprawling AUs that I can never hope to finish recording in my lifetime. Oops? Also I write sometimes.

I'd love to get some love on my podfic, as I've been in a serious podficcing slump for months following a hard drive crash last year where I lost a bunch of unedited chapters of a fic I was recording, and generally feeling a bunch of self-doubt about my abilities on top of that.

So, I've fallen out of bandom a bit, recently, but your podfic of "In My Blood Like Holy Wine" got some SERIOUS REPLAYS when I first downloaded it. You hit so many emotional notes, in ways I never would have experienced had I read the fic instead of listening to your performance, and you kept me company for HOURS. Thank you for taking a fic that I wouldn't have picked up on my own (that summary is kinda heavy), and turning it into something beloved.

Also, your crossover podfic "One Ring to rule them all - Or not?" is my MOST FAVORITE KIND OF CRACK. Your performance had me smiling the whole way through. The way you can hit the humor in One Ring, and the sexiness and more emotional moments of Holy Wine, is amazing. You have a terrific range as a podficcer <3

Weird fact- I'm asexual but my favourite thing to record is sex scenes for no discernible reason - maybe it's the intensity, less storytelling and more acting.

I've been in a bit of a slump recently where I'll record and then listen back and feel demoralised and throw the audio in the trash.
