Welcome to a podfic love meme! Specifically, a love meme for all contributors to the podfic community. (ty analise010 for coining that and to yue_ix for the gorgeous art below!) "Contributors" could include but isn't limited: podficcers, audiofic archivists and other infrastructure people, mods, meta writers, cover artists, and betas/cheerleaders.





Some information so that we're all on the same page!

1) Comment with your name if you want to be loved on!
Because some of us have better visibility in some parts of fandom than others, feel free to leave a short bio, links to your social media handles, links to what it is that you do, or whatever context you think is important.

2) Tell us what you want love for.
If you'd rather hear more about your podficcing than your work as an archivist, say so! If you want to hear just about your cover art, say so! If you want to hear about your modding AND your meta AND your podfic, say so! Help us make this as good an experience for you as possible.

3) Let us know if it's okay to befriend you.
With potential full-on bios floating around, we're getting into friending meme territory. If you're open to that, include that somewhere in your comment.

Ok, I told myself I wasn't allowed to participate until I was finished editing auralphonic, but it's exporting now! So:

1) I'm paraka, and parakapodfic (I've got handles elsewhere I'm not not really active elsewhere). I'm a podficcer, I run a podcast, Auralphonic, about podfic, I make a lot of my own coverart, I've set up a number of podfic resources, and run a couple podfic comms (mostly in the past), I host a lot of podficcers.

2) I'm happy getting love for anything, but above I listed the things I do in order of preference of what I'd most like to receive love for. :)

Not only are you an A+++ podficcer, you are such a pillar in this community and have done so much to build up this corner of fandom by hosting people and running/modding challenges and doing the Auralphonic podcast. Your tutorials were some of my greatest resources when I was first figuring out this podfic thing.

Our fandoms/pairings don't often overlap, but I really really enjoyed listening to your Steve/Bucky/Sam podfic 'What If We Love Like Fools?' and I love your short fairy tale podfic 'Breath' a whole lot.

So I was just tapping my fingers eagerly waiting for you to show on on the love meme so that I can tell you 1) I love your podfics! your voice is so soothing and you made such great choices of what to record! and 2) for years I've appreciated how many folks you host, because of the streaming! there have been times when I wasn't able to download for some reason but could stream, and your site is always there for me. and 3) all of the blood, sweat, (I assume) tears, and spreadsheets that you put towards fixing the AA was an incredible labor of love and so very, very, very appreciated. Even though I haven't been listening to podfics for all that long, I really depended on the archive... I didn't realize how much until it mostly wasn't there anymore. The kind of endless slogging work you put in -- in addition to the resource of hosting your site!! -- is an enormous gift to the thousands and thousands of us who turn to podfic when things are really hard, those who can't necessarily access text all the time, and those who maybe are too shy to say anything but whose lives are made better every day by your contributions. Thanks <3 <3 <3 <3 **I know it was a group effort to get things back up there!! And also the impetus and the spreadsheets and the coordination was a thing in and of itself that you deserve lots of specific love for even though it was a community undertaking.
