Welcome to a podfic love meme! Specifically, a love meme for all contributors to the podfic community. (ty analise010 for coining that and to yue_ix for the gorgeous art below!) "Contributors" could include but isn't limited: podficcers, audiofic archivists and other infrastructure people, mods, meta writers, cover artists, and betas/cheerleaders.





Some information so that we're all on the same page!

1) Comment with your name if you want to be loved on!
Because some of us have better visibility in some parts of fandom than others, feel free to leave a short bio, links to your social media handles, links to what it is that you do, or whatever context you think is important.

2) Tell us what you want love for.
If you'd rather hear more about your podficcing than your work as an archivist, say so! If you want to hear just about your cover art, say so! If you want to hear about your modding AND your meta AND your podfic, say so! Help us make this as good an experience for you as possible.

3) Let us know if it's okay to befriend you.
With potential full-on bios floating around, we're getting into friending meme territory. If you're open to that, include that somewhere in your comment.

It is SO lucky that you are one of the most known voices (both literally and figuratively) in podfic, because you are endlessly welcoming and positive and enthusiastic and loving. I have heard so many stories of you being the first person a new podficcer encountered when dipping their toe into podficcing, and they are always glowingly positive stories. You make everything you are part of more exciting and fun. It is a really important superpower.

Okay, so now your podfic. The ones I have listened to most carefully are ones where I've collabed with you and then edited, so I will talk about those. You blow me away, Reena. You are so spot on with characters, and ALWAYS ON THE FIRST TAKE. One that stands out for me is your Peter Pan in And All Things Nice. You hit just the right mix of cocky and smug and delightful and childish and cruel.

And your cover art is MAGICAL. I have seen you make it in front of my eyes, and so I can confirm that it is PURE WIZARDRY. Just thinking about your cover for Let's Dance is enough to make me laugh. Not to mention the other wonderful art you have done for podfic purposes (including last year's pod_together promos). Not to mention the AMAZING PODFIC CRAFTS you have made! My podfic platypus and my tea cozy are both so precious to me. AAAAH okay I just love you a lot. A LOT. YOU HAVE MADE MY LIFE SO MUCH BETTER.

Your cover art is amazing, truly, and the fact that you make it for so many of your incredible number of podfics is just astounding. Plus, I really like and appreciate the podfic commenting graphics you leave like toad-ally awesome little cookie crumbs.

Heeeeeey Reena! I really wasn't sure where to start with this tbh. And then I remembered the cover art you made for fire_juggler's reading of Tightly Knit and the fact that you made that scarf! That just remains so cool. You consistently bring your badass skills at other things (knitting and crochet in particular!) to enrich podfic fandom.

And I just went and looked at your AO3 briefly to figure out what else I wanted to say and saw you had 803 works on there, 765 of which are tagged as podfic. Which tbh is frankly ridiculous. You are incredible.

Your podfic covers are stunning and you are always so generous with them.

Also: your audio editing work. I know you use your built in mic and the sound quality you get and the filters you use are just astounding.

Hi!!! You're so great <3 I was super thrilled to get to meet you/see you twice! last year ^_^ You're so wonderfully friendly and fun to hang out with. I've been super impressed by your podfic-producing ways, you make so much fantastic content so quickly and it's a blessing for me cause then I get to listen to all the wonderful things you do!

You were one of the first people I ever received an audio feedback comment from also, which completely made my month/year/forever, so there's that too <3

In person collab podficcing with you is *so much* fun!! I really hope we get to do that again sometime!

I am impressed by your cover art skill, and super grateful that you were willing to offer those skills in ITPE, even when something wasn't your fandom you still made amazing and perfect cover art and I felt super lucky to get to have some on my podfics, like gift for my recipient but also major gift for me too!!

Podfic fandom is super lucky to have you in it! MY EARS ARE LUCKY TO HAVE YOU IN IT. Thank you for the many many many hours I've spent listening to your podfic. Highlights for me are your Rey, Finn and Poe performances of UTTER UTTER DELIGHT and also that time I was listening to 'The Art of Running/Fearless on My Breath' when I was walking down the street and had to literally stop walking because you were nailing some pretty heavy stuff and your range as a voice performer was getting all up in my feelings. (Sometimes I walk that same route and my brain is like, REMEMBER THAT TIME WE LISTENED TO REENA_JENKINS WHEN WE WERE WALKING HERE and I am like, I SURE DO, THAT REENA_JENKINS IS SUPER AWESOME.)

Also! Your coverart! So many times I have checked to see who made striking, vibrant cover art and it turned out to be you!

You are AMAZING. I honestly don't know how you manage to create so much, so smoothly, across so many different fandoms. Sometimes it seems as if some podficcers work best in one or two fandoms - maybe it's that those are the ones they love best, maybe it's that I just mentally pigeonhole them. But I adore how you can seamlessly, solidly move from fandom to fandom and make they all work so beautifully and consistently. You also have a real gift for making your voice disappear, almost, doing its thing so perfectly and so invisibly that the listener can get completely lost in the story. Like a bridge or an open door... it never gets in the way.
