Welcome to a podfic love meme! Specifically, a love meme for all contributors to the podfic community. (ty analise010 for coining that and to yue_ix for the gorgeous art below!) "Contributors" could include but isn't limited: podficcers, audiofic archivists and other infrastructure people, mods, meta writers, cover artists, and betas/cheerleaders.





Some information so that we're all on the same page!

1) Comment with your name if you want to be loved on!
Because some of us have better visibility in some parts of fandom than others, feel free to leave a short bio, links to your social media handles, links to what it is that you do, or whatever context you think is important.

2) Tell us what you want love for.
If you'd rather hear more about your podficcing than your work as an archivist, say so! If you want to hear just about your cover art, say so! If you want to hear about your modding AND your meta AND your podfic, say so! Help us make this as good an experience for you as possible.

My podfic is here. My main fandoms have been A Song of Ice and Fire, Harry Potter and Glee but I dabble in a lot of small fandoms too.

I am in awe of how gorgeous your podfic is. I adore everything of yours I've listened to (which is everything in any fandom we even vaguely share) and I'm hoarding it all against whatever life might throw. It's a secret sacred world of its own, your podfic.

My very favorite podfic of all time -- ALL TIME -- is your version of All Life Is Yours To Miss. When I'm having anxiety-spiraling that's making it hard to sleep, I will totally bust it out, start at some random point in the middle, and just listen until I fall asleep. (I used to do this with my favorite books when I was little, open to a random page and just read from there... it's my ultimate comfort reading habit and there aren't many stories I do it with nowadays.) I've listened to it... five times? 12 times? I don't even know. I had read the fic before and liked it well enough, but your reading just made it into something else so much better, like a story hug. Oh, and your Dark Is Rising Will/Bran fics! So. Good.

(I have honestly thought to myself that if there's ever a fundraiser/auction where you decide to podfic in exchange for donations to [whatever], I would see what would take for you to record another long podfic by saras_girl, like All Must Draw Near or Turn. I would SAVE UP.)

Basically, if you ever wonder if it was worth it to spend so many hours of your life recording a massive thing, you should know that it's for sure made my year better.

Okay so...your podfic of "A Song of Fire" is possibly my favourite podfic in the entire world.

The Dark is Rising sequence meant SO MUCH to me as a child and I definitely had ship feelings for Bran and Will LONG before I understood what that meant and your voice and the way you read the Welsh and perfectly capture the beautiful rhythm of that fic is phenomenal. I love it so much. I have it on my iPod and it forever travels with me so I can listen to it when I'm sad and want to be happy or happy and want to be sad or mad and need to calm down or basically just whenever.
