Welcome to a podfic love meme! Specifically, a love meme for all contributors to the podfic community. (ty analise010 for coining that and to yue_ix for the gorgeous art below!) "Contributors" could include but isn't limited: podficcers, audiofic archivists and other infrastructure people, mods, meta writers, cover artists, and betas/cheerleaders.





Some information so that we're all on the same page!

1) Comment with your name if you want to be loved on!
Because some of us have better visibility in some parts of fandom than others, feel free to leave a short bio, links to your social media handles, links to what it is that you do, or whatever context you think is important.

2) Tell us what you want love for.
If you'd rather hear more about your podficcing than your work as an archivist, say so! If you want to hear just about your cover art, say so! If you want to hear about your modding AND your meta AND your podfic, say so! Help us make this as good an experience for you as possible.

3) Let us know if it's okay to befriend you.

OMG, your podfics were some of the first I ever listened to and I was absolutely entranced. Seriously, I was basically in awe and just listened to your podfics over and over and over again. The way you interpret the stories and read so smoothly and (it seems like) effortlessly, just absolutely lovely. The way you do voices -- distinct, but not over-the-top. The way the music is incorporated so beautifully. I just.... I really have such an attachment to your podfics.

You are one of those podficcers I would follow into any fandom, any story (even stories I'm not too sure about), because I know that I am safe in your hands (voice?). You are the reason I branched out from HP for the first time -- the ultimate gateway podficcer drug. If you read it, I will listen and ask for more. I followed you from HP to Merlin, to H50, to AI.....

I love that you are so multifannish, because it rubbed off on me. :D

I love your voice and your reading style SO MUCH. "we were emergencies" was one of the first few podfics I ever listened to and it took my breath away. I also LOVED your Cuttlefish. :P It was so much fun getting to meet you at Podfication (which you did an amazing job of co-planning) and I appreciate your excellent and correct opinions about Elementary :P

Oh, heck, there are so many of your podfics I love that it's hard to choose just a few specifics to pull out! So, general first: you are so good at long stories, and at recording series. Honestly, you've made airports and airplanes bearable, and I've had to deal with more than my share in the last few years. Drastically Redefining Protocol made me laugh out loud in one interminable security line on a rough travel day. You'll Get There In The End, It Just Takes A While was one of those podfics that absolutely made the rest of the world disappear. And it's like a little gift on my tumblr dash every time a new section of 4-Minute Window appears. Short podfics are great, but it's your long ones that have pulled me in. I'm so glad that there are so many more still to listen to!

I am absolutely a sucker for a really good longfic. If I were faster at recording/editing I'd be churning them out like nobody's business. I'm inordinately pleased I could bring a little joy to the humorless void that is the airport security line for you! Eeeee, I adore your podfics! Your voice is so rich and warm and comfortable to my ears and your performances always make me feel all the things. I am pretty sure I haven't taken your Revolutionary Girl Utena podfic 'Lovely Exorcist Nanami' off my .mp3 player since you made it. (It's in my listen-to-go-to-sleep rotation but I promise you I listen when I am awake every so often as well!) I am also a huge fan of your Merlin, Harry Potter and MCU podfic and basically everything you chose to be as a podficcer.

Although I don't quite remember anymore, it's entirely possible that "Easy There" was the first podfic I ever listened to. You've participated in so many of my most favorite collaborations. You have such an amazing voice for humor, just great comedic timing, and I could listen to your narration all day long.

You were the reason why I started podficcing. It took me a while to finally get to that point, but I know it was definitely your podfics, along with a few others, that made decide that I could try my hand.

In fact! By way of Knight_Tracer's recommendation I found "You'll get there in the end (it just takes a while)" and fell in love with it and I hadn't read the fic beforehand.
When I did discover the rest of the series I fell in love all over again and hoped you were going to the the rest! But I'd read you weren't and THAT's when I thought if started podficcing maybe I could do it? And that was my deciding point. Of course, War Games will take a bit to tackle but it's an end goal.
So I have to give you all the love for reading so well to inspire a new podficcer.

I've probably told you this before, but your reading of Drastically Redefining Protocol was like the third or fourth podfic I ever listened to. I'm nigh on certain you were the first American podficcer I heard. That was back when people still made a fuss over a reader's accent matching the fandom they were reading in, and your DRP blew every argument out of the water for me. It was incredible - your smooth, composed delivery made every line sound like magic. From there it didn't take me long to find Stealing Harry, and the rest, as they say, is history ^_~.

You seemed like one of podfic fandom's giants (still do, tbh). I know anything you release is going to be incredible. I still remember squealing to people over email for days the first time you commented on one of my podfics, and when you and Lunchee recced one of my works on Resonance, I just about died for joy. Suffice it to say, you have been someone I've looked up to in the community for a long time, and just keep on being as awesome as you always have been ♥
