Welcome to a podfic love meme! Specifically, a love meme for all contributors to the podfic community. (ty analise010 for coining that and to yue_ix for the gorgeous art below!) "Contributors" could include but isn't limited: podficcers, audiofic archivists and other infrastructure people, mods, meta writers, cover artists, and betas/cheerleaders.





Some information so that we're all on the same page!

1) Comment with your name if you want to be loved on!
Because some of us have better visibility in some parts of fandom than others, feel free to leave a short bio, links to your social media handles, links to what it is that you do, or whatever context you think is important.

2) Tell us what you want love for.
If you'd rather hear more about your podficcing than your work as an archivist, say so! If you want to hear just about your cover art, say so! If you want to hear about your modding AND your meta AND your podfic, say so! Help us make this as good an experience for you as possible.

3) Let us know if it's okay to befriend you.
With potential full-on bios floating around, we're getting into friending meme territory. If you're open to that, include that somewhere in your comment.

YAY LOVE MEME!!! I'm bessyboo/bessyboo/bessyboo/ladybessyboo/bessyboo!

Things I Do (in order of preference for #memelove, I suppose, but I'm open to whatever nice things you wanna say):

• I make podfic! It is all either posted at my AO3, or compiled in the Awesome Ladies collections over the years.
  
• I make cover art! All of my cover art can be viewed at coversbybessyboo.
  
• I mod things! I have co-run #ITPE since its inception, and the Awesome Ladies Podfic Anthology since its second year (I also always do the cover art for ALPA). I co-ran Theatripod when it happened. I also co-chair Podfication, the (hopefully!) annual podfic convention!

I'm always down for new friends! Feel free to friend me and say hi (or not, if you prefer!) on whatever social media you want, I'm not locked anywhere :) (However, I'm VERY inactive everywhere but Twitter—if you wanna talk regularly, that's your best bet!)

Hey, Bess! I have to admit that fandom don't cross often (though that might change once I watch Pitch). Even so I deeply appreciate all that you do to progress podfic fandom. You speak your mind and don't back down for anyone. You get it, girl.

Is it weird that I will always know and love you for your Newsie's podfic?

Which is a little silly because you were the one who made me actually like Swimming RPF (a toast for the douchbags :D), and your work with Awesome Ladies (which was one of the first things I actually participated in in Podfic Fandom) and ITPE (which has turned into an avalanche of delight), and your tireless work in podfic fandom as a whole....

And yet, and yet, and yet.... I have such a huge huge huge soft spot for both your posted Newsie's podfic, and the one that you recorded just for me, with no editing, at work, just because I get freaked out at the prospect of flying. Just hearing your voice makes me think of that lovely act of love, and I get a little teary and happy.

You are amazing for all you do in podfic fandom. And I am in complete awe of your podfic covers (HOW ARE THEY SO GOOD?!??!?!?!).

But really? NEWSIES PODFIC!!!! *collapses in a heap of feels*

You are a hero, you do such amazing things for podfic fandom and are an inspiration and just really awesome. ITPE is one of my favorite fannish things and I'm so grateful for all the hard work you put into it, it makes my life much better and I'm always excited about it. And then Podfication! It was so amazing and I had such a great time and I'm so happy you had that idea and pursued it into making an phenomenal fannish gathering.

I also will always think of you when I do nail art, because I wouldn't have this hobby, or this any bottles of nail polish or stamping equipment if it weren't for you showing me how the first BP I attended and inspiring me into this hobby I love. Your nail game and make up skills are super impressive!

I love your podfic and have appreciated gaining new fandoms from listening to what you've gotten into, or rediscovering fandoms I already love through your podfic. Close to Home is one of my all time favorite podfics and one I relisten to a lot. Also, your recent YOI collab with the24thkey was perfection and had me laughing so much listening to it <3

okay. not to say you changed my life but. well. you did. because you talked about hockey (of all things) with me on skype for like 5 hours and friended me on twitter I now am actually a part of fandom. so yeah. Your podfics are super great! Your long Calvin & Hobbes podfic 'Theories About Nuclear Winter' was one of first podfics I loved and I am sure it helped me on my journey from 'podfic seems cool' to 'PODFIC IS THE BEST THING EVER OMG' <3

Your cover art definitely inspires me to try and get more creative with mine as I usually am super basic when putting them together. But hot damn! I'm definitely following that tumblr to be wowed and get inspiration. Currently I'm flailing over the cover for Sideways, the ObiAniDala body swap story. I just love the blur and the suggestion of who's in who behind them. A+.

This was my first year participating in both ITPE and Awesome Ladies so BIG LOVE for helping mod such fun events! I had a great time and it wasn't too difficult for me as a noob to figure things out which is always nice. Some fandom challenges can be really intimidating (*side eyeing all the big bangs I've dropped out of over the years) but I love how both these challenges are more bite sized.
