Welcome to a podfic love meme! Specifically, a love meme for all contributors to the podfic community. (ty analise010 for coining that and to yue_ix for the gorgeous art below!) "Contributors" could include but isn't limited: podficcers, audiofic archivists and other infrastructure people, mods, meta writers, cover artists, and betas/cheerleaders.





Some information so that we're all on the same page!

1) Comment with your name if you want to be loved on!
Because some of us have better visibility in some parts of fandom than others, feel free to leave a short bio, links to your social media handles, links to what it is that you do, or whatever context you think is important.

2) Tell us what you want love for.
If you'd rather hear more about your podficcing than your work as an archivist, say so! If you want to hear just about your cover art, say so! If you want to hear about your modding AND your meta AND your podfic, say so! Help us make this as good an experience for you as possible.

3) Let us know if it's okay to befriend you.
With potential full-on bios floating around, we're getting into friending meme territory. If you're open to that, include that somewhere in your comment.

I would be over the moon for some love for my podfic! (As a few other people have said, would appreciate it for my cover imgs too, but that's definitely secondary to my recordings.)

I'm frecklebombfic everywhere - all my pods are on AO3 & I usually post to DW too, I have a messy tumblr and locked twitter (& always accept fannish requests). I would love more podfic friends, but choose whichever platform you use most often.

I've only been making podfic for a bit over a year, first in 1D and newly Hockey RPF, though I'm consuming avidly in a whole pile of fandoms (HP, Leverage, MCU, AFTG, Captive Prince...) Actually, this meme has been pretty awesome for recs, on top of being incredibly lovely to read :D

I hadn't listened to your podfic before and I immediately went & downloaded all your hockey rpf. Your voice is wonderful and I love how you take your time with the pacing so it feels like I'm sinking into the story. "Baby, We're The New Romantics" is now on my phone for ease of repeat listening. <3

Your All For the Game podfics from ITPE this last year were so good for me!!! I've been saving them and doling them out for house chores I find particularly boring and it's been 100% the right choice for making my life better. My reaction after finishing the first one I listened to (I think 'right side of rock bottom') was 'omg how have I not heard this podficcer before??!' your voice is great and I love your reading style. I'll be looking forward to hearing what else you do and excited for whenever we overlap fandoms ^_^

I'm actively hunting for more works to record in that fandom, but my heart needs short and fluffy atm, and it's a little hard to find. Where do I even begin?

I was scouring AO3 and the Archive for H/L podfic as it seemed there just, wasn't any? And then, lo and behold, one day NINE AND A HALF HOURS OF IT show up on the AO3 tag feed. And then I read in your notes that this is your FIRST PODFIC (omg. I'm still even now just. omg.). So I listen not quite knowing what to expect, and there begins to read one of the calmest, steadiest, most delicately emotive and soothing voices I have ever had the pleasure of listening to. I've probably told you this a dozen times already, but the way you balance a clear narrating voice with just the right amount of emotional inflection is incredible, and it makes your podfics so easy to listen to - they're like slipping into a bath at the perfect temperature, that feeling of all-surrounding warmth.

And not only did I discover one of my favourite podfic voices that day. Having gathered up that initial bit of courage to comment and tell you how much I was enjoying leave it to the breeze, I discovered you're also an amazing, kind, strong, and generous person, and one I am honoured now to be able to call a friend.
