Welcome to a podfic love meme! Specifically, a love meme for all contributors to the podfic community. (ty analise010 for coining that and to yue_ix for the gorgeous art below!) "Contributors" could include but isn't limited: podficcers, audiofic archivists and other infrastructure people, mods, meta writers, cover artists, and betas/cheerleaders.





Some information so that we're all on the same page!

1) Comment with your name if you want to be loved on!
Because some of us have better visibility in some parts of fandom than others, feel free to leave a short bio, links to your social media handles, links to what it is that you do, or whatever context you think is important.

2) Tell us what you want love for.
If you'd rather hear more about your podficcing than your work as an archivist, say so! If you want to hear just about your cover art, say so! If you want to hear about your modding AND your meta AND your podfic, say so! Help us make this as good an experience for you as possible.

3) Let us know if it's okay to befriend you.
With potential full-on bios floating around, we're getting into friending meme territory. If you're open to that, include that somewhere in your comment.

Your voice is extremely pleasant to listen to. It's soothing and warm and has a really full-bodied quality to it that makes me feel comforted (I don't mean to make it sound like I'm talking about wine, sorry!) In the Sid and Darcy get hitched not!fic podfic and the Plantagenets you did with Sunny, it's so fun to listen to because I can really hear that you're having a good time with your co-podficcer, which consequently makes me have a good time too. Speaking of plantagenets, the sound design is magnificent, I marvel at how the sound and narration flow into one another. When it gets serious and full of drama, like in 'after she wakes', an already wonderful reading takes on an added dimension after hearing your freetalk about how Shakespeare ladies doing it for themselves really fires you up. And of course, your cover designs! The end products are so professional that its easy to overlook the work and skill and thought that goes into them, so your Behind the Cover series is incredibly interesting to read. It is a privilege to have you in podfic fandom ♥

I just read through your cover art meta and it was very interesting! I liked getting a look into your process, and all the covers were lovely, particularly the one for "After She Wakes."

Thank you so much! I truly hope you enjoy A Guide To Recognizing Your Demonic Ancestors. That's one of my projects that I tend to assume no one will be interested in, so it always excites me when people say they'll listen. <3

And as for the cover - I have to confess that was one of my "let's throw design theory guidelines out the window" projects where I basically indulged myself and got as immature with it as I possibly could. It fit the tone of the recording. XD

If memory serves, the thing that surprised you most when we first started talking was the fact I remembered your Lavinia, Live, and how much I enjoyed listening to it. I see Lunchee's already given you the rundown on how awesome your podficcing style is (SHUT UP, IT IS, I WILL DIE ON THIS HILL IS2G). Getting to listen to you work in realtime as we recorded Cyrillic Text was illuminating. You're so animated and downright hilarious in conversation, or when we're taking the piss out of the Plantagenets, and yet when the mic's switched on, out comes the Podficcing Voice: calm, considered, expressive while still retaining a clear vocal clarity. You sounded like you knew Sid's story inside out, precisely where to put the stresses and emphases that would give us, the listener, the clearest insight into what he was feeling and thinking. You knocked it out of the park, and I'm so happy we got the chance to work together on it - what a delightful day that was! ^_^

You're a fab reader, so much fun to collab with, you drag me into fandoms whether I wanna go there or not (thank you), so generous with the covers you make, and as if that weren't enough, you're a pretty amazing person, too ^_~

Ok, you're either gonna make me cry or blush so hard I pass out.

Ngl - before the actual day of recording, the prospect of tackling Cyrillic Text was a bit intimidating. Partly because it wasn't a cold read per se, but pretty close. I'd only read it once and didn't remember parts of it. Mostly because I'd been using your podfics as a standard to evaluate mine for long enough that the idea of working with you behind the curtain so that you saw/heard all the less-than-good parts was...daunting? To say the least?

By the time we got to the day of, though, I'd already embarrassed myself with Merlin fic and podding smut for the first time IN FRONT OF OTHER PEOPLE, so there wasn't really much further to fall. XD It's a hell of an ice-breaker.
