Welcome to a podfic love meme! Specifically, a love meme for all contributors to the podfic community. (ty analise010 for coining that and to yue_ix for the gorgeous art below!) "Contributors" could include but isn't limited: podficcers, audiofic archivists and other infrastructure people, mods, meta writers, cover artists, and betas/cheerleaders.





Some information so that we're all on the same page!

1) Comment with your name if you want to be loved on!
Because some of us have better visibility in some parts of fandom than others, feel free to leave a short bio, links to your social media handles, links to what it is that you do, or whatever context you think is important.

2) Tell us what you want love for.
If you'd rather hear more about your podficcing than your work as an archivist, say so! If you want to hear just about your cover art, say so! If you want to hear about your modding AND your meta AND your podfic, say so! Help us make this as good an experience for you as possible.

3) Let us know if it's okay to befriend you.
With potential full-on bios floating around, we're getting into friending meme territory. If you're open to that, include that somewhere in your comment.

There is so much love to throw at you, I don't even know where to start. Thank you for making the last three years full of so many moments of comfort and delight and for being the most generous. This probably is not the best place for me to gush at you more about how amazing you are and how much you make my life better, so I will just go with

PODFIC LOVE SPECIFICALLY:

1) I have been listening to your podfics longer than almost anyone's because your voice is fucking GORGEOUS. I never get tired of listening to you read -- I've listened to King & Lionheart at least three times, and I only found it, what, 3 months ago? And that's only one of my re-listens.

2) How many fandoms have I fallen into from your podficcing? I KNOW WHAT A HAT TRICK IS NOW.

3) FEMSLASH. (I *also* love your femslash meta, which in my head I read so long ago that I think it was before I even met fan-you.) But in particular, I love the space you carve out for femslash in fandom, the way you do it intentionally and thoughtfully and with work.

4) This sounds silly, but your consistently fantastic production quality is a JOY. I know that if I listen to anything by you it'll be not only lush and beautifully read but also clear and professional-level recording without distractions. I don't know you manage to remove every swallow and cat noise, but damned if I've ever heard one.

This isn't even about podfic, but your meta about why genderbends fics *are* fics about "real" female characters is so, so important to me, and I dig it out regularly whenever I'm arguing with people on the matter.

The way so many of your fanworks focuses on female characters and on f/f is such a goddamn relief sometimes ♥ and your podfics are truly lovely to just sink into and curl up in.
