It's A Love Meme - The Sequel!

Welcome to the second annual podfic love meme! Last year cantarina created a love meme for all contributors to the podfic community. "Contributors" could include, but is not limited to: podficcers, audiofic archivists and other infrastructure people, mods, meta writers, cover artists, and betas/cheerleaders. Shout out to yue_ix for allowing us to use the art below once again.



Some information to start -

1) Comment with your name if you want to be loved. Leave a short bio, links to your social media handles, links to what it is that you do in the community, and other fannish info you think is important.

2) Tell us what you want love for. Do you create amazing cover art? Do you love modding challenges? Are you the most meticulous beta listener? Share your skills and help us make this as good an experience for you as possible.

3) Let us know if it's okay to befriend you. With bios and other info out there, it may be confusing to know how much attention is welcome. If you're open to adding new friends, include that somewhere in your comment.

Opalsong here. I have been ultra busy with school (+work) and remain so. So let me begin by saying I am ultra sorry but I probably won’t recipricate for the meme (which makes me hesitate to put a comment up but what the hell. Also, sorry for the lack of links. I am ultra tired & on my phone.

Who am I: Opalsong (Twitter, AO3, Here on Dreamwidth. Note: I technically have a tumblr but I have abandonded it.)

What do I do: Podfic, Cover Art, and Write (apparently now. Wtf!?), make up Not!fic, Produce multi-voice projects, run the occasional ULTRA EXPERIMENTAL podfic things

Love for any of the above is greatly apprieciated. I am mostly known for being a #PodficRobot and the dubious owner fo the hashtag #OpalsongHasNoSenseOfScale due to my lack of said sense when it comes to long projects. Also podficcing in dead anime fandoms.

I am in such awe of your constant production of long podfic. As a lover of longfic I end up with a to-podfic queue of 200k fic followed by 130k fic followed by 150k fic followed by, oh look, a short 80k fic and just LOOKING at it exhausts me. But I'm like...look, girl, Opalsong can do this and so can you. So thank you for being an inspiration and also THANK YOU for bringing me such fabulous multi-hour podfics that I can listen to for entire workdays.

I love the way you're able to really bring characters to life through your readings. I cannot think of a single podfic of yours that I've listened to that I didn't THOROUGHLY enjoy.

OPALSONGGGGGGGG!!! You are a true hero. You inspired me to make a 70K podfic (even thought it was a disaster) and you're my favorite anime podficcer. I love the way you turn every story into a performance, from Be Thou Mine Cthulu to Yuri and Yuuri being DEEP bros. You are a multi-talented artist and everything you touch turns to gold. o/\o
