Parker -- who you might know as the author of the Spenser For Hire series -- and a movie starring Ed Harris as Virgil Cole and Viggo Mortensen as Everett Hitch. There are actually four books, and I love them enormously! The movie is pretty terrific, too. :) )

I just went and added the book to my GoodReads 'To Read' list, it sounds interesting. And of course it doesn't hurt that I can now add Ed Harris and Viggo Mortensen's faces to the characters:D

:D! I'm pretty sure it wasn't until I found out who was making the movie that I went and read the first book, but oh, I'm so glad I did. Parker's style was very hit-or-miss -- some love it, some hate it -- but I was in the "love it" camp. :)

I enjoyed this! I actually just finished listening to an audiobook of the first Appaloosa book--I'd seen you talking about it, so I was curious. I liked it fine, but it didn't really sweep me away. This podfic was a nice little addition to it, though. : )

Thanks! :D I love Parker's writing style, and of course it has my ultimate bulletproof kink -- two people in a long-standing friendship who have known each other so long they know everything about each other. :D
