I love Doctor Who crossovers. And apparently talking about them turns me into a complete goofball. But if you're game, here, have a podcast of me talking very excitedly about Doctor Who crossover podfic:

Download: MP3 // M4B
Length: 28 min

Podfics recced, in order of appearance:

Title/text: Out There by [archiveofourown.org profile] jerakeen
Read by: [personal profile] paraka
Crossover details: American Idol, Adam/Kris, Tenth Doctor
Download: MP3 & M4B
Length: 14:41 min
Summary: "They're out there," Neil tells him, pointing to his the truth is out there poster.

Side note here: At this point I mentioned another story that's not a Doctor Who crossover but is a delight and I think is also the first of [personal profile] paraka's podfics that I ever listened to, which is still one of my absolute favorites:

Title/text: Girl, You're Like a Weird Vacation by [archiveofourown.org profile] Moirariordan
Read by: [personal profile] paraka
Details: American Idol, Adam/Kris, genderswap AU
Download: MP3 & M4B
Length: 2 hr 20 min
Summary: Dear Adam Lambert. Hello! My name is Kristina Allen, and I live in Conway, Arkansas. My parents are Kim and Neil Allen, and I am a lesbian. What about you?

Title/text: 9½ Things to Do With a Time Machine and Panic! at the Disco by [archiveofourown.org profile] themadlurker
Read by: [personal profile] greedy_dancer
Crossover details: Bandom, PatD!, Eleventh Doctor
Download: MP3
Length: 21:46 min
Summary: Time passed. In some places. In others it stood still, or went around in swirls and loops of the vortex, or got stuck in the flux invertor and made the temporal co-ordinates go all wobbly. Like most things in life, it all depends on where you're standing.
ETA Notes: [personal profile] greedy_dancer mentioned that this was recorded with her old mic so the sound quality isn't representative of her more recent work; just thought I'd add that here as an FYI.

Title/text: I Was Only Borrowing Time (I Was Going to Put It Back) by [personal profile] sam_storyteller

Summary: In which Captain Jack gets in a little over his head and is introduced to the myriad joys of bureaucracy, Mycroft is smug, the Guide offers up some helpful advice, John Watson doesn't share, and, in a strange turn of events, Jack doesn't get laid even once.

Title/text: A Match Made in TV Trops by [archiveofourown.org profile] BlackEyedGirl

Notes: If I haven’t recced your Doctor Who crossover podfic or a favorite of yours here, please leave a comment to here so others can find it -- and so I can find too and flail all over it! Also, if I've made any errors in links or you'd like a different link to your podfic posted, let me know. Thanks for listening.

ETA another rec via Twitter:
And Will Stand Witness by [archiveofourown.org profile] moorishflower, read by [livejournal.com profile] kalakirya. SPN crossover, Gabriel/Sam, Castiel/Dean. Can't wait to listen!

ETA: \o/ So many awesome recs in the comments already! I can't wait to listen to ALL THE THINGS.

This comment is filled with amazing crossover stories most of which I would totally have recced in my own post if I'd been thinking of them. "Relatives and Relativity" is one of my all-time favorite Doctor Who crossovers actually. <3

Thank you for adding this comment, I'm off to go listen to some of these (again) right now.

Once and Future read by lunchee, written by Mad_Maudlin. Brilliant story. Merlin and Jack Harkness (I guess maybe that's technically a Merlin/Torchwood crossover?).

Place That Don't Know My Name Great crossover between The Social Network and 11th Doctor. I recc'ed it in my post on Sunday (along with Holmes v Harkness which is an AWESOME story too:)).

Heee! You recced 9 1/2 things, thank you! :D (The story was recorded with my old mic, in case people who haven't heard me before come across this comment, it all sounds much better now! lol)

For the sake of exhaustiveness, I've done another Dr Who crossover (11th Doctor & SGA):

Night at the Museum by [profile] dvs

Edit: Aww I streamed the beginning of it and now I'm going to put this podcast on my ipod and listen to the rest - despite not being in Dr Who fandom and never listenind to Dr Who podfic - because you're so delightful in your enthusiasm! :D

Speaking for myself, don't ever apologize for being excited about things. Excitement is AWESOME. And catching. I love it when people get excited about things.

Of course it's alright, on the contrary :D I forget how different my earlier recordings sounded.

It was a lot of fun just listening to this as a podcast even for podfics I'm not invested in in the first place, and hearing the readers' voices and your adorable flailing! :D This was a great idea :D

Oh, this is an excellent theme! I haven't listened to your podfic yet, but I'm so excited to. Also, I kind of love that I can't read the word fantastic without hearing it in the Doctor's voice in my head. :D

And now for the Who crossovers I have as well!

Donna Noble, King of Camelot read by lunchee, written by netgirl_y2k which is hilarious and a delight.
People Who Repair Quantums read by reena_jenkins, written by ignipes which is planets the Enterprise never visited and has a Who section.

I've never seen Doctor Who, but I seem to have accumulated a fair amount of Doctor Who crossover podfic on my mp3 player. One I really like that doesn't seem to have been recced already is:

"Time is an Illusion (Tea Time Doubly So)", read by tinypinkmouse, written by enigel. It's a crossover with Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and features a story both funny and poignant, with tinypinkmouse's inimitable understated delivery.

Your podcast was lovely!! It was brilliant to hear you talk about podfics you love *_* Thank you for including H vs. H in there, it was magical to hear it talked about *_*

I would add to the x-over list, but everything I wanted to link has already been mentioned! Including some of my own that I forgot about, oops.
