oh god. it's still the 21st somewhere in the world, right??
Introduction:
(Podfic is a way for me to listen to stories I might never read myself, through the emotional lens of a reader who really cares for it. I enjoy this experience thoroughly. All my recs are podfics of stories I have never read [+1 that I have], sometimes in fandoms I'm not in, sometimes in things I have not even seen.
I have done a podcast for each rec, where I flail about about how much about how much I like it and why, and also include little clips of each podfic, which you can stream directly, download individually, or download the whole lot in m4b format. Enjoy!)

Date: 2012-07-31 07:30 am (UTC)if I know there is a podfic (or there will be one) I try to wait...
Oh my god, YES. If there is podfic, I am so there! I love how readers bring their interpretation to the table, and with how quick some readers are, the wait sometimes is not very long at all! Mostly though, my podfic habits are all about readers or eye catching summaries. Because I am easy.
Forty-six and two was such a pleasant surprise! I kind of relate TW in my head to more crack than serious business, but the podfic reading and writing was wonderfully enjoyable, even while being quite sombre in nature most of the time. And like I said, inception is not my usual cup of tea, but in combination with who was reading AND the very enticing summary, I was all ears :D It was wonderful work guys, I really enjoyed it!

We really are! We're also pretty good at exploring the genre and extrapolating from the source text too, I think. I guess fandoms just got everything covered :D
