[identity profile] bessyboo.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] amplificathon
(I promise this is the last time I'm going to spam the community today! XD)

So I've been talking with some people lately, and I idly mentioned the idea of maybe doing a few podfic cover tutorials, and like three people went, "YES BESS DO THAT OMG!" So.

A) Would anyone be interested in some cover art tutorials?
B) If yes, what would you want to know? Something general? Something specific? Is there one thing that I do that you're like, "how does she do that?" (for reference, all of my cover art can be seen here) (If people are interested, fyi, I totally plan on doing one JUST ON TEXT. Just thought I'd get that out of the way right off the top ~.^)

I really, really love podfic cover art, and if there's anything I can do to get more people making cover art, I will totally write whatever tutorials it takes :)

Whatever you end up doing, could you crosspost it to [livejournal.com profile] podfic_tips? I'd really like to get a whole library of tutorials going, covering the full spectrum of podficing, including art! We don't have any posts about cover art yet.

While I know my way around Photoshop, and can make my own cover art (once I get podficcing, still getting over that "listening to the sound of my own voice" fear), but I'm always eager to learn new tips and tricks (I'm a fanmixer, and fanmix cover art can't be that much different from podfic cover art).

Oh yes please. :) That would definitely be something I would be interested in exploring. It completes the podfic for me and I don't really like posting mine without. But have to as I have no clue how to create one.

I would be interested! Something general would be awesome, since I know nothing. (The text one sounds really neat, too.)

Lovely covers. I always like looking into the thought process of other artists. Great idea!

Hmmmmm....learn how do this on my own, or continue to beg you to do it for me?

Decisions, decisions.... Okay, fine: You can teach me, but I don't promise not to keep asking anyway. ;-)

I've started dabbling in graphics, but I'm still a long way from the lovely, polished look that your works have. A tutorial would be fantastic!

What graphics program would it be oriented toward? Photoshop, probably?

I'm totally a Photoshop user, so I may be able to help with PS specific questions.

Yes, please do this! Something general would be fantastic, as I know pretty much nothing about it, and my attempts so far have sucked. Seriously!

This would be great! I'm totally self taught and tend to lack imagination, so any new info would help.
