Would it be possible to get the .m4b file mirrored elsewhere? I've been trying to DL it since you posted, and while MF will DL the .mp3, with the .m4b it keeps reporting a "Error Code -19".

I,also , am having problems. Both the mp3 and the m4b files come across to me as corrupted files. I don't know why, but the m4b also is stating it is not able to be downloaded by the site about every other attempt- the site says error 19, if that means any thing to you. Thank you for working on this- I am looking forward to this performance.

Sherlock Holmes and all his incarnations are my archiving responsibility:) But everything you post in amplificathon will eventually be archived by one of jinjurly's little archivists (we are legion!):D

Aww, you are lovely for saying so! Thank you! I will definitely be back to let you know what I think as soon as I can get to it. The more Sherlock podfic in the world the better! :D

I loved it! You have such wonderfully clear intonation to your voice, which I'm jealous of. I'd actually forgotten this was an "awkward Christmas with the Holmes family" story before I started in. I adore that theme, so I'm terribly happy you've put it in podfic form. :D

This was a fun fic! You have got a really nice voice for performance, and I really enjoyed it. The uncertainty on all sides shone through very well, and the timing of the banter was terrific.

Hey, just wanted to tell you that I love your reading. It's very clear and easy to listen to, and your pacing works really well for me.

I've been thinking about pacing lately, and I've realized that to say you read slowly/quickly can actually mean two different things. You can refer to the speed of the reading within sentences, or to the pauses you make between sentences. I used to read the sentences themselves fairly slowly, because as a beginner I was constantly seeing people say "you should always read more slowly than you think". But now I've realized that what actually matters for me, comprehension-wise, is to have enough of a pause between sentences. If I have that, the sentences themselves can be read pretty quickly. And I've speeded up my own reading accordingly.

since I have enjoyed your podfic so much myself over time

Thank you, I'm glad to hear that!

Awesome as usual! I love the way you read grumbling Sherlock, especially his "nosy old bat" :))
