I've been thinking about pacing lately, and I've realized that to say you read slowly/quickly can actually mean two different things. You can refer to the speed of the reading within sentences, or to the pauses you make between sentences. I used to read the sentences themselves fairly slowly, because as a beginner I was constantly seeing people say "you should always read more slowly than you think". But now I've realized that what actually matters for me, comprehension-wise, is to have enough of a pause between sentences. If I have that, the sentences themselves can be read pretty quickly. And I've speeded up my own reading accordingly.

since I have enjoyed your podfic so much myself over time

Thank you, I'm glad to hear that!
