Reader’s notes: When, during my recent first-ever viewing of Torchwood (peacefully may it rest), I watched the episode "Adrift" (the main plot of which I am still trying to scrub from my horrified brain), I knew Jack’s "naked hide and seek" line must have inspired fic. I went looking, and this fic is my favorite of what turned up. It was so much my favorite that I was moved to record it as a podfic, which can (I think?) be enjoyed by those with little familiarity with the canon and/or allergies to the canon's massive levels of angst and tragedy. :)
