I don't know. This level of UST reads as slash to me. But then, most everything reads as slash to me. :-)

Honestly, I consider it slashy, too, but I didn't think the slash was strong enough to warrant an actual pairing. You could just as easily say that it's Rodney/Atlantis shippy, too. Yes, Rodney has a huge crush on Sheppard, but that's not the point of the story, and there's little, if any, romantic reciprocity. It's about coping with the loss of Atlantis more than anything else. Hence why I decided on gen.

But if one of the mods insists I change it to McKay/Sheppard, I will. :)

McKay/Atlantis would be amazing, though Sheppard/Atlantis certainly seems more canon. :p If I could find a good McKay/Atlantis, I would try!

That's probably because I would basically be Rodney if I were a bit smarter with a bit more ego and a lot less tact. :p That one was definitely one of my easiest podfics to record because I just let my inner-Rodney loose, and lo! There was podfic. And it was apparently pretty good. :p
