Oh, I'm so glad to hear that...welcome to our world! I love doing them, but I mostly love how they spread fanfic to a larger audience. There is so much of it that's really, really good (especially in SPN, which has an unnaturally talented fandom) that none of us could ever have time to read as many stories as we'd like. OMG, yes. I've been here for just over three years (since mid S3) and I'm still discovering good stuff from the early days. SPN was my first experience with fandom and from what I can gather it's fairly unique in its size, quality of fandom output and general batshittery. I'm gonna miss it more than the show when it's all over; that much is clear to me. Welcome!
