i am regretting not having any AI7 icons. WHY NO COOKLETA? why didn't i anticipate that one day i would need one for icon tag? THANKS A LOT, PAST-SELF.

Crushes on Frank Iero are all the rage!

He has sort of set up residence in my brain these past few months. Tiny little guitar demon FTW.

I have somehow locked myself out of my Dreamwidth account (which has me shaking my head at myself), but I wanted to be sure to thank you for the comment you left me there. I'm glad you enjoyed your podfic gift. This is the longest podfic I've recorded, so it was a welcome challenge. I've been an MCR fan for years but haven't gotten into the bandom side of things until now. This fic is great fun, and I'm glad to know you think I did right by it :-)

I've actually only listened to one reader read bandom before, and got so attached that I wasn't sure I would ever be able to handle hearing it done in another voice. I've opened and closed other bandom podfics since then because it just felt wrong.

But I wanted to give this one a try. And it took me a couple hours to totally adjust, but by the time they were snuggling together on the couch, I had totally fallen in love with your voice and stopped thinking about the story in the context of the other reader I missed, and was able to just totally fall into your reading. Which is a pretty big deal for me. And now I am so excited to hear the rest.

So, I thought I should come let you know that you've done the impossible and opened my mind to a second bandom podfic reader. And I will listen to every single word of bandom you read from now on.

Just, uh. Just so you know.

So um this might be a bit late but-- oh right, sorry. Hi!
So yeah, this is kinda late, and not only late because you recorded this almost a year ago, but because I downloaded (and first listened to) this a few months ago. I think. Of some reason I didn't comment then (probably because I was still quite new to podfic then and generally behaved like a kid in a candy store; running around and downloading left and right, hoping to find good podfics and trying to find out just how much I like podfics. A lot, it turned out) and I've been mentally kicking myself to comment and tell you just how much I love this but I've always managed to forget it, somehow. But! I'm here now! Which actually is because I was saying to someone how much I love this podfic and they were like "you should tell the reader!!!1!1"

I don't know how to start (ha ha, but no really, I can ramble on for ages about unimportant things but once it comes to saying something with some importance my brain locks up) so I'll just copy paste what I said about this before:

"I really, really love Conclusions by [livejournal.com profile] bexless and I basically go all geeky and star-eyed every time I listen to it and say the lines along with the reader - who, btw, is really awesome imo - and mentally jump up and down. idek. It owns a special place in my heart."

I really do say the lines along with you at times and then laugh at myself. (My favorite parts to read along to are the beginning with frank and mikey, the scene where the heater's broken and Gerard wants to hit it with a hammer and the confession scene. I haven't read the fic even once, I've only listened to your podfic, but I pretty much know the confession scene by heart.) And sometimes, the mentally jumping up and down is not so mentally, though flapping arms occurs more often.

I pretty much just really really love this podfic. The story's just the kind of funny and light story I like to read when I'm happy/cheerful and your reading is just brilliant so it's a perfect match. ♥ I listen to this when I go to sleep sometimes, because I've listened to it so many times it helps me to calm down and relax, and I listen to this when I'm walking somewhere I feel like some Frank/Gerard, and I listen to this when I'm home (alone) and can say all the lines aloud to myself without anybody looking at me weirdly.

I wish you would do more podfics; you're really good at it. ♥

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave this comment. I'm totally okay with people *not* leaving comments, but I'm not gonna lie: comments, especially ones like this, completely make my day <3

I'm glad you like the podfic so much. [livejournal.com profile] bexless did such a great job with this fic, and it was a joy to read. Yay for podfic and for repeat listens and for quoting along. Also, yay for you :-D

Hey there! Just wanted to thank you for that lovely, lovely podfic. I don't often download podfics currently, despite loving the living hell out of the medium, because my internet connection at home is just unspeakably shit, and very rarely downloads things properly. But the internet connection in Shanghai airport was both free and fast as lightning (albeit a bit picky about what websites it would let one access - Communist China not such a big fan of Facebook, apparently) and so I jumped on the chance to download some podfic for the flight home. As I'm currently head over heels in love with MCR and in (conflicted) love with the fanfic (because I feel guilty about liking RPS, but, but, but...) this seemed like a good bet.

IT WAS AWESOME.

I did know the story up front, as it happens, but it was just such a lovely languid delight to be able to sink into the story this way. Your reading was just scrumptious - clear and clean and expressive and funny and evocative and just generally made of win. Your voice took me from freezing Shanghai all the way to the end of my road in Bangkok, and had me grinning and sanguine whilst waiting and waiting and waiting and WAITING for the goddamn luggage to make its appearance on the carousel.

Thank you. I know it must have taken ages to make this podfic, but I'm ever so glad that you did. You do a really lovely job.

::applauds::

I won't lie. I'm grinning from ear to ear at the thought of you downloading this in an airport in Shanghai. I'm so glad you enjoyed it, and thanks for commenting.

I go back and forth on RPS, too (or at least I did until I, you know, started doing it myself >_> ), but I figure MCR has made a career out of what's basically fan fiction about themselves. We can play in that sandbox, too ;-)

This podfic is SUCH a joy to have in this fandom, thank you SO much. I've taken it with me on long journeys and it has absolutely TRANSPORTED me, it's incredible. The way you read what is already such an engaging story just sweeps me up in it, right into the atmosphere. This past weekend it took me on a four-hour biking trip through the countryside, and it feels like every time I listen, I notice more. The way you read each character is so unique and interesting, and it really makes me care for them. Thank you SO, so much for sharing this with us. ♥
