I puttered along for a while, having fun, then I hit an absolutely heart breaking story about Ianto growing old and dying while Jack looked on. Suddenly it occurred to me Immortal+Mortal=Not the Best Idea. :(

Ever since then, my favourite fics in this fandom have been ones where Ianto is an alien of some kind and is able to overcome the whole going-to-die-before-Jack thing.

Oh I'm right there with you with - I've had my heart squeezed out through my chest by a few stories, had to stop reading them in fact because I just couldn't let them go. I go looking for 'fixit' fics now. And yes I have listened to The Windohovers - I'm desperate for the second story to be recorded...looking for a new project? ~_^

Hmm. I wonder at the etiquette of recording the second part to something someone else has started. I would also love for the rest of the 'verse to be podfic'ed but I think I might be a bit hesitant to ask....

Maybe, one day when my list of podfics to read isn't quite so long I'll see about doing the other parts. :)
