author's summary: A very bad thing happens. And then we must go on. (Sorry to be so vague, but I don't want to spoil anything. If you have serious concerns about it, why don't you PM me and ask what's bothering you, and I can answer you without spoiling those who wish to forge blindly onward?)

Hurray!

Thank you, mods! Thanks to you I 1) fell in love with a new fandom and B) have a new fun hobby.

Wishing you well, cadeira, triedunture, and everyone participating.

Dear suzumenoko,
thank you, thank you! You can't even begin to imagine how much this delights me! I'm squeeing like mad over here. triedunture is my favorite fanfic author in both of the fandoms I asked for and some time ago when she posted this story I started reading the first two or so chapters but then never gotten around to finishing it. In fact, I have a printed out copy of that story on my desk somewhere which I always wanted to finish. So it's like you peeked into my brain to find out which story I would want to listen to the most.
I think it's wonderful that you tapped into this fandom and instantly liked it. Bertie and Jeeves are most adorable characters, aren't they?
So thank you, thank you again!

I endeavor to give satisfaction, madam.

You described your wishes most precisely, so making the appropriate selection was a matter of no great difficulty. Triedenture is, as you say, a genius.

I do appreciate your kind words, and hope that my efforts do the story justice. I also hope that the podfic earns triedenture more readers, and more listeners as well -- her own podfics are excellent, and a tough act to follow indeed.

I can't wait, too (or is it I neither can't wait? Aaaaanyhow.) I'm über-excited about having gotten this as a christmas present because for reasons I can't quite fathom right now I didn't finish reading the story when you originally posted it.
Such a treat, I can't believe it.

I cannot wait to download this. I shall do so at Denny's tomorrow. Downloading at home will kill my bandwidth. I've always wanted this in podfic form.

Downloading! I am only vaguely familiar with this fandom (as in, I have read one Jeeves and Wooster story--an original one, not a fanfic), but I am intrigued. : )

It's considerably darker than the frothy P.G. Wodehouse original, but much more romantic, and cozily snug within the wonderful P.G. Wodehouse world.

I hope you like it.

I started listening to this when I first downloaded it, but stopped, mostly because I'd just listened to "Into a Far Country" and associated your voice so strongly with Ray K and that story. Also, I'd listened to a lot of FayJay's Jeeves and Wooster, which is very jaunty, and you sounded so serious.

But now I came back to it, and really got caught up in the reading! When I got past those first few minutes and got to the serious part of the fic (which is most of it, heh), your reading worked wonderfully. I really got Bertie's state of shock.

Also, this must be the most unabashedly romantic thing I've heard in a long time, with the declarations of eternal love on bended knee. : )

This was so fantastic, I can't even tell you. Your tone of voice and reading style was so different to most (if not all) of the Wodehouse podfic that I've listened to but it was absolutely *perfect* for this story. And in the few lighthearted moments I could still hear *that* in your voice as well.
