I made this recording way back in 2006 and never really did anything with it other than listen to it over and over myself, but since reading through imochan's Remus/Sirius Love Post, I've had a resurgence of love for HP fandom. copperbadge graciously gave me the okay to post this, and so here we are at long last.

This is one of my very favorite fics of all time and I hope others get the chance to enjoy it through this recording. All nine and a half hours of it. :)

hey. i've listened to a couple of chapters & it's BRILLIANT! i really love it.

but what i wanted to ask: is this the first story? or all of them, or... just because i thought if it's only the first one, i'd have to come & somehow pressure you into recording the others as well :P it's so WONDERFUL to be able to listen to this... *happy sigh*

I just wanted to let you know I absolutely adore this. I'm not a big Potter fan but I downloaded this on a whim to listen to at work and I found myself wanting to work overtime just so I could finish! It's a great story and your reading is fantastic. Your voice sounds so familiar... have you don't any audio work since recording this? Podcasts, maybe?

I finally finished listening to the whole thing, and this podfic is absolutely amazing. Not only is the sheer length amazing, but you even change your voice slightly with the characters and the points-of-views. Just stunning. I really hope you decide to do more podfics. Sadly I haven't actually read Laocoon's Children yet (I know, shame on me!), so although I'd love to take on the whole Stealing Harry universe, it seems pretty unlikely at this point, what with some other projects on my plate. But you never know, someday... :)

Haha, I understand the feeling. Often why I end up recording podfic of these really epic longfics is because I couldn't put them down for a week straight and spend most the time wishing I had a podfic version I could take with me everywhere.

It's hard to say how long it took me to record Stealing Harry since I did it so long ago. It was done probably over the course of a year or so, where I would stop for a month or two at a time and then come back to it. It was my first podfic though, and I've since streamlined the my process.

I absolutely adore this story and podfic! The only drawback to having the podfic in one huge file is that whenever I have to stop the recording on my iPhone, it starts over at the beginning of Chapter Two. Even using high-speed scrubbing only gets me to the end of Chapter Two. It's a shame it's not divided into a couple smaller segments.

Sometimes I listen to it when I get in bed. My gran used to read me stories when I was a little kid, and I guess I still love being read to. Hahaha! Very much enjoyed this podfic of yours, thought you did an excellent job with the voices and you always seem so relaxed with the way you read, it is easy to relax into the storytelling itself. I particularly liked the way you make Harry sound like a child without having him sound dim. I had somehow missed this one of yours, but after lunchy_munchy recommended it to me, I was delighted to enjoy it over the course of a week....
