Welcome! I'll get you tagged.

Would you like a podbook to commemorate the big event?

I'm on a Mac, so I use the wonderful shareware program Audiobook Builder by Splasm Software. It's extremely easy to use, and pretty much flawless. You just choose your kbps (64 is good for spoken word), tag in title and author, and drag and drop in the cover art (I like to make covers, so that's the only time consuming part).

Then you choose the files you want to compile and click on Build. Voila!

I then add very specific tags in iTunes so my library files the way I like it to.

I know there is PC software, too, but I'm not familiar with it. [livejournal.com profile] podfic_tips has more info, I think.

Would you like the URL to the 'book to add to your posts, or would you rather I post it?

Since a few hours have passed, I guess I'll go ahead and post. I find that otherwise some people miss the fact that there is a 'booked version.

There are several people doing podbooks now, though I still have a corner on the volume market. *g* I've compiled over 550 in the last couple of years. There aren't enough hours in the day for me, either, but fun stuff is all I do now that I'm retired on disability. :-)

Oh hey, this is fabulous! I listened last night and loved your reading. Thanks so much for doing this :)) Great fic to be listening to of course - Roque knows how I mainline her stuff, but I'll probably tell her again anyway *g*
