Hulloo, my peers and betters.
Just want to make this clear;
I'm willing (and rather eager) to take requests, suggestions, recommendations.
I'm heading into the summer vacation before my senior year of high school, and have nothing to do for the next two months, and would love a task laid out for me.
Okay? <3
ETA: Yes, okay, I will do To The End by esohpe if she answers back in the affirmative, stop asking, I wanted to do it already, HEEHEE.
Also, my preferences:
Willing for any rating.
Willing for any pairing (be it gen, slash, femmeslash)
I'm familiar with SPN (and RPS/RPF attached to the fandom), Due South, SGA, some really nerdly manga/anime. Willing to look into a new fandom if the story you rec me is awesome.
ETA AGAIN:
Also I should probably mention that I'll do any length if I love the story enough, so don't be shy. I'm at least getting a lot of amazing reading material out of this.
Also,
podmod, if you want me to move this shindig somewhere else, I could try? Didn't know if it was appropriate for the comm to begin with.

Date: 2008-06-11 05:28 am (UTC)And I'll read slash, too. Yes yes yes.
So? So?
Rec away, so that I can get right on that whole asking-permission part!

Date: 2008-06-11 05:36 am (UTC)Anyhow, if you want some super long and super excellent fics, here are a couple Wincests.
Song of the Treadmill by
To the End by
To the End is about half the length of Song of the Treadmill, I think. Anyhow, if these are too long let me know and I'll rec some others for you. :-)

Date: 2008-06-11 05:46 am (UTC)My icon is the Entourage boys
Date: 2008-06-11 05:49 am (UTC)Notes on the Entourage stories - I did an podfic of Crisis Management already so you dont have to do that one if you dont want. The only one incomplete is last one - Going Nowhere 1/4. Everything else is self-contained, though some of the stories are connected. The series that starts with Proof of Life and ends with Post-Production is incomplete as a series but each individual story is done.
If you like the fic, and want a copy of the show - let me know. I got the hook up. :D
The SGA story - Invisible Prisoner - is right here (http://dancinbutterfly.livejournal.com/103384.html)
It's from last years McShep, team angst, John-centric. Even if you dont want to do it, please read it and lemme know what you think.

Date: 2008-06-11 05:49 am (UTC)No where near as long as those others ... anyhow, feel free to take a look at the tags on my del.icio.us page if you like. :-)

Date: 2008-06-11 06:05 am (UTC)This post has virtually no plot, you've been warned :)
Date: 2008-06-11 06:09 am (UTC)Right, so I'll sit over here in my corner and go through my bookmarks to try to re-create my compleately genius thoughts of earlier. Genius I tell you!

And then possibly Never Be (http://community.livejournal.com/fluffandfold/15258.html) and Wasted On The Young (http://causeways.livejournal.com/116180.html) and To The End (http://esohpe.livejournal.com/39469.html).
They're all SPN, except Wasted on the Young which is J2.
I'd be forever grateful for any of those.

Date: 2008-06-11 06:55 am (UTC)(Lol, any idea how silly I felt when I had to look up the pronunciation of that word? Thought it was Ham - ARE - shee - ah, but no, that's a hard 't'.)
If tomorrow goes well, I could probably post it then, along with a short thing that I'm going to ask cybel to suture onto the end of Hamartia when she puts them in podbook form.
Hamartia by itself is about 1:15:00, ish, if my editing doesn't mess it up too badly, so.

Date: 2008-06-11 07:19 pm (UTC)Permission back from the Treadmill thing. It's a go. But I'll have to shuffle it back a bit in my priorities, because I'm still working on rei_c's FI-verse and now starting on To The End (because I'm ridiculously eager).

Date: 2008-06-11 08:46 pm (UTC)what a trooper you are!
Date: 2008-06-11 09:35 pm (UTC)You could record The Pegasus Society (http://iamsab.livejournal.com/251156.html) if you felt like recording some John/Rodney in Atlantis-pov? It's, oh, probably < 5000 words, sort of lightly NC-17ish, with Mensa in. I've always been fond of it as it's the best SGA thing I've writ. Lemme know if you're interested!
Alternatively, if you wanted to wander into the world that is Farscape, I'm sort of attached to my John/Aeryn, John/Scorpius, A new device is being tested (http://fromthesabrary.livejournal.com/8959.html). Is longish, NC-17, and indeed kinky in places.
Unless you have a secret desire to record sort of yearning, cranky, NC-17ish West Wing fic and just didn't mention it in your post... Celebrated Blue Period (http://fromthesabrary.livejournal.com/5182.html), which is Toby/CJ and Toby/Andi, is some days my favorite thing I've ever written.

For SPN, if you had the feeling for some gen fic, Things Sam Has Not Missed About This Life (http://cupiscent.livejournal.com/366730.html/) is a fave of mine. Also, I'm dying for whoever started podficcing If Belief Was Enough (http://gekizetsu.net/sn/opendoors.html/) by
I'm just super excited to see what you do, no matter what you decide to read. More podfic is always a good thing!

Date: 2008-06-12 06:22 am (UTC)http://fish-echo.livejournal.com/2449.html I'll continue to reply to this post whenever I get around to updating my lists of recs that would make good podfics (imho).
The stories are:
"Every Librarian Has Her Day" by Martha,
"Minerva McGonagall and the Insurance Salesman, Part 1" by googlebrat,
"The Ones Where They are a Unicorn and a Rainbow (and a Dolphin and a Warm Spring Breeze)" by thingswithwings

They are both looooong and I will understand completely if neither make the cut but I couldn't help but ask:)
Haven't you learned anything from Supernatural? You shouldn't be offering your soul away so easily, who knows what I'd do with it:P

Now, when it's finished, if someone would read Eighth Horizon's Turn of the Wheel series and finish everything by Astolat, I could die happy.
Oh, and Hamartia was wonderful, of course. Had I told you that?
