two quick notes and a crown (kind of like four weddings and a funeral except not)

'lo, my amplificathon peeps. it's a hot and humid day in at least two-thirds of podmod's neck of the woods, and this third of podmod is fighting some serious torpor to bring you a quick update. first, the two notes:

1) your recs! keep posting them. post them as new posts or as comments to previous rec posts, it's up to you. remember to leave feedback for the readers on their posts as well.

2) the final standings are coming soon. we're finalizing some of the prizes and doing other stuff that seems all mysterious right now but will have a cool payoff, we promise.

and now for the crown...

one prize everyone gets and no one has to wait for is the official amplificathon crown! yes, you all rock hard and deserve the adornment to show it. if you'd like to make an amplificathon crown, download the two pdfs (part one, part two; mirrors if the other links don't work: part one, part two) & follow the included instructions (or do your own thing. we dig that kind of thing around here). once you've made it, if you so choose, we invite you to take a photo of yourself wearing your crown and post said photo as a comment to this post. we look forward to seeing you :-D

eta: if you're not comfortable posting of a photo with you in it, consider posting a photo of your crown.

eta: when i said everyone gets this prize, i meant *everyone*. if you recorded, listened, thought about recording but didn't have the time, helped promote the community, filled out the poll, had generally positive thoughts towards the challenge, and/or whatever, please feel free to jump in on the crown party. also, general_jinjur made the excellent suggestion of another alternative to posting a photo of people wearing crowns for those who aren't comfortable with that: creating self-portraits in other media, such as ms paint. i am a personally a fan of crayons and construction paper (without irony), though i do not have any construction paper immediately available. i think the general theme here is creativity, so have at it :-D
