I fail in communicating: your cherry was already half popped with my 'book of Loser (hot like burning) last week. I should have written to you as well as general_jinjur.

Also, I've been staring at Bringing Sexy Back forever but never figured out a cover for it. Must get to that one along with newer ones. Slow but sure, that's me.

Glad you like the cover! I've just started playing with some Photoshop filters I've had for a while but never used. I really like the way it turned out. I'll work up a post to podslash and leave a note to it here. Thanks!

Sorry I wasn't of more help back when you first approached me about BSB (oh god, that looks like Backstreet Boys. WORST SHORT FORM EVER, Y/MFY??). :( I've gotten a newer/better/easier to use version of my favourite graphics editor, so perhaps I can help out now and not have it suck! Is there an optimum image size for a podbook cover? And text size for it to be legible? Maybe figure something out this weekend!

That would be lovely! A square image looks best in iTunes, anything about 3x3 at 72 pixels/inch or larger should fill the whole cover space. That's just a guideline, though; you can vary the shape somewhat and still have it look fine. Text is always a problem. Just what will fit and looks clear against the background is the best I can say. Probably 24px or larger depending on the font, though I've used 18 in some cases and it's worked fine.

If you have an idea but need help realizing it, let me know. I'll be happy to render aid. My problem is usually in the lack of imagination area, but PS is awesome: as I said to general_jinjur, who needs talent when you have technology!

I wrote to you back then? My memory sucks, and my organization is even worse. Oh well, better late than never.
