It is unconscionable that it's taken me so long to comment here.

This story was podficced by [livejournal.com profile] zabira last year, and I loved it. Your version is adorable, too, and very well read. I'll never be able to make a cover to match my first one, which was a fluke of creative ingenuity on my part I've yet to match, but I'd love to podbook your version as well if you'd like me to. Just let me know.

Sorry for the delay; I've been bad.

I got your podbook done and posted to [livejournal.com profile] amplificathon and [livejournal.com profile] podslash. The cover, which I'm quite pleased with, is here.

Enjoy!

This is fabulous! I love the slightly prudish, almost-sarcastic tone you manage for Fraser's indirect dialogue, your pacing is great, and you communicate the humour of the piece beautifully. Loved it!

I was poking through the audiofic archive, downloading stories of punk's that have been recorded, and I listened to this one today and holy crap! It blew me away! You have such great comedic timing, your energy and expressiveness are just right for this story.

But the part that impressed me the most was how well you captured the characters' voices, and not just one or two of them; ALL of them. Frannie's run-on sentences, and Ray's clipped speech, and Fraser's polite tones, even Dief's self-absorbed sarcasm--it was marvelous, really a joy to listen. This has become one of my favorite recordings, and *cough* I do listen to rather a lot of podfic. Thank you so much for recording this story, and I hope you do more!

First podfic? Seriously?

I agree with [livejournal.com profile] were_duck's comments. You clearly had fun reading the story, and it was a joy to listen to. Instead of a straight reading of the story, it felt more like you were "performing" the story (if that makes sense) which made it really come to life.

Loved it! Thanks for taking the time to podfic this, and putting it out there for everyone.
