Title: Pacta Sunt Servanda
Author: [livejournal.com profile] arrow00
Reader: [personal profile] luzula
Fandom: due South
Pairing: Fraser/Kowalski
Rating: NC-17
Length: 15 m 37 s
Author's summary: War breaks out.
Notes: I'm grateful to [personal profile] malnpudl for listening and assuring me that my voice didn't sound too scratchy (it always gets a bit rough in the winter). Thanks to the author for the blanket permission.

Putting this one up streaming since it's fairy short (but you can download if you want, of course):

ETA: This is so weird. I know I pasted in the right code, but the embed above is appearing as another user's podcast that was on my flist a while ago. I emptied the cache, but it's still there. Arrrgh! Tell me if it looks like the right file for you. Here is an alternative download link in case the streaming doesn't work.

Title: How The Ray Was Won
Author: [personal profile] catwalksalone
Reader: [personal profile] luzula
Fandom: due South
Pairing: Kowalski/Vecchio
Rating: PG
Length: 55 m 26 s
Author's summary: See title. Or. One name, two men, three tasks and a motif. Or several.
Notes: This was a bit tricky to record because it's a story about people telling a story, and I was unsure of whether to separate the storytelling bits with some kind of sound cue, but I finally decided not to. I'm grateful to [personal profile] crinklysolution for beta listening and assuring me that the structure wasn't confusing in audio form, and for catching a couple of mispronunciations. Also, with this podfic I feel like I really learned to read Frannie, so yay for that! My Vecchio and Kowalski still sound too similar, though, but I hope you are still happy with this, Ande. Thanks to the author for the blanket permission.

EEEEEEEEEEE! I'm so excited to listen to this. Sadly, my computer got fried in an electrical storm last night, so I have to wait. *pouts*

It needs a new power supply and motherboard! Luckily, it's covered by insurance as it's storm damage. I'm abusing my workplace and downloading it, now. \o/

Even though I have heard this before a couple times now, I find myself eager to hear it again - it is that delightful a story...thanks for the opportunity to beta!

Do you have an alternate mp3 download link for How The Ray Was Won? If not I can reverse engineer it from the audiobook. :)

I'm poking Cybel in case she has the mp3, and she'll also know about sound quality when going from m4b to mp3 so I'll ask about that if she doesn't have the file!

Okay, I talked to Cybel! She doesn't have the mp3, but she says that an mp3 made from an m4b will have the same sound quality as the m4b. She makes hers at 64kbps. I checked out the bitrate of the other podfic in this post and it's 127kbps. So it's up to you, we can wait until you're able to upload the original mp3, or we can make a lower bitrate mp3 from the m4b. (fyi, Cybel says that 127 is a common bitrate that podficcers use, but that in her opinion it's unnecessarily high which is why her audiobooks are at a lower bitrate)

asdkfjalsdkfj I totally lost track of this, and the link has expired again. I'm so sorry! I know you're back now, if you can re-upload I'll pass it off to someone more, ahem, trustworthy than me to take care of! /o\
