I assume it's a metaphor to describe something fragile and lovely but also dangerous and potentially capable of raining hot destruction upon an unsuspecting citizenry. On the other hand, it may refer to the fact that this particular coral shade is common to molten lava and geraniums. Don't lick it."

"It tastes like Jujubes," Ray reported.

"Nevertheless, resist the urge."

Notes: Oof, this one was a challenge. The very thing I love about this story--the comedy and the snappy dialogue--was what made it hard to record. I don't think I've ever done so many retakes. Still, it's fun to stretch yourself and try something new. Thanks to the author for letting me record it!

I listened to the podfic and loved it. You did your usual wonderful job of reading smoothly and with emphasis, and it was a very enjoyable podfic to listen to. I'd read the story a while ago, and Zelempa is very talented writer. Loved Ray being all spazzy and obsessive and Fraser allowing himself to experience emotion. You brought that out in your reading.

Wanted to let you know that i thought Volcanic Geranium was exceptional, loved the matter of fact way you read even the most outrageous scenes and how funny you made the commentary by the two robbers at Ray's expense at the end. Right on point. So I think all your efforts and retakes were worth it!
