I don't even know if it's still by toft but there's one where the story starts off with them on a stakeout in the rain, they kiss, one of them gets amnesia, angst ensues but happy ending for all. So, with the title 'muddled' and the similar beginning...easy mistake for me to make:)

It doesn't ring a bell and I think I've read all of Toft's SH fics so it's probably not by her... Sounds like an easy mistake indeed. :)
