Demarcation is one of those stories that I'd read a dozen of times (at least) but somehow, every time is like the first; I discover tiny details I hadn't (or think I hadn't) and every plot twist and line of dialogue is like I've never seen it before. I think maybe it's my brain's way of telling me I can never have enough of the story; otherwise, I probably wouldn't read it as often as I do.

I do that as well. I find that *especially* when I'm reading it out loud or listening to someone else's podfic of a story I'll pick up a heap of subtle things that I missed the first hundred times:) And this has definitely been one of my comfort stories, the ending fills me with air and happiness every single time.

I was so happy to see this come up on my feed. Demarcation is one of those stories where the ending hits me every time. I had the chance to listen to this yesterday, and it was amazing to pick up all those little details that I don't necessarily notice when I'm reading. (Clark's stubborn, living geranium plant had completely passed me by.)
