Summary: When Sherlock was nine, she found a wonderful fur coat in the attic of the summer house by the sea. She put it on with the fur turned inward and ran through the house spinning and laughing. When Mummy saw her, she ripped off the coat and flung it into the sea.

 

Mummy wanted Sherlock to never even see the sea again after that. Naturally, Sherlock obsessed with nothing else. The depths were full of mystery.

 

When she was twenty-nine, she was on a forced vacation at the summer house. When she was twenty-nine, she found the merman washed up on the beach. When all other things had been eliminated, what remained, what she saw with her own eyes, was the truth.
