Summary: Fuyumi can read between the lines of Mako’s file. The justification for having Mako on the base is paper thin -- strings have been pulled and favours have been bartered, and somewhere along the line someone decided Fuyumi was the perfect combination of talent and expendability to be brought into this mess. It’s only slightly closer to a compliment than an insult -- the balance tipped by the child at the centre of this, nine years old and heart-breakingly brave.

Date: 2013-12-09 08:37 pm (UTC)bitterlotus's Mako made my heart swell five sizes -- she has exactly but exactly that core of determination that I wanted so badly to come through in my writing, that fierce and powerful
kalkirya's Fuyumi was FASCINATING and awesome and I could listen to a million hours of this interpretation -- I felt like I was getting to know her from the outside in.
kdheart brought so much win with the additional voices -- Boardman! Paol! The Chen sisters! :D :D :D I am stupidly protective of my minor characters, and I felt delighted to hear them in such good hands.
And ack, I cannot even nearly say what it does to my heart to hear such_heights voice my vision of Stacker, but oh, god, Month 11, if it hurt to write, it hurt so much more to listen to.
And, just, I can't even -- I am thrilled and delighted and moved by the mere existence of this, and that fact that on top of that it's so damned good... Yeah. My face hurts from smiling.
