If there's a theme to this reclist, it's podfic I've listened to so often that I practically have it memorized. Although each of these stories is well-written in its own right, the performances in these podfics are what really stood out to me. Each reader added something unique in her performance, making each one a joy to listen to.


The Eagle

In which Esca seeks out his kin in Hibernia and Marcus goes with him.

In Short: A beautifully understated performance with lovely use of music and a great sense of history.

In Short: A fantastically fun listen with great use of music and special effects. Suitable for someone with little knowledge of the fandom.

Pairing: Merlin/Arthur, Rating: Explicit, Length: About 1 hour and 30 minutes)
Modern AU. Arthur moves to a a different city to start a new life and become a new man. On a whim he decides to share a flat with an attractive stranger, and quickly gets drawn into Merlin's odd little world.

In short: A loving performance that brings across a wide range of emotion. Suitable for someone with little knowledge of the fandom.

A Modern day Merlin AU set at the University of St Andrews, featuring teetotal kickboxers, secret wizards, magnificent bodyguards of various genders, irate fairies, imprisoned dragons, crumbling gothic architecture, arrogant princes, adorable engineering students, stolen gold, magical doorways, attempted assassination, drunken students, shaving foam fights, embarrassing mornings after, The Hammer Dance, duty, responsibility, friendship and true love...

In short: A long and engaging listen by an amazingly talented writer/reader. Suitable for someone with little knowledge of the fandom.

Teen Wolf

A Simple Life, written by Survivah read by [livejournal.com profile] mothlights.
Pairing: Derek/Stiles, Rating: Teen and Up, Length: About 1 hour and 45 minutes
Derek plans to spend the rest of his life holed up in the woods after Laura dies. Then he meets a stubborn young fox, and the stubborn young fox meets an urn of Deaton's magic powder, and his plans change.

In short: A rich, refreshing performance. Suitable for someone with little knowledge of the fandom.
