So, the other day me and my friend were discussing podfic and she joked about you being on a one-woman mission to record all the generation fic ever made.

Haha, it's seemed that way of late, hasn't it? It's a system, actually. I read stories when I have the house to myself, which doesn't happen too often. Then I edit in the evenings when everyone else is watching TV. Posting happens whenever I steel myself to do it (because it's a tedious and annoying process), which is where the Amplificathon challenge comes in. It gives me a reason to get things posted. I'm not super invested in the competition of it, although it was kind of cool to come in 5th out of 55 readers.

Anyway, since Generation Kill is mostly what I'm reading fandom-wise right now and I only record stories that I really love, and since GK is such a talented fandom...that's what's been on the menu lately. This particular story garnered me a lot of points in Amplificathon because it's a crossover and you get points for both fandoms, and because the pairing wasn't represented in the podfic archive yet, so I got ten points for the pairing instead of 5. (The purpose of Amplificathon is to add more podfic, but also new fandoms and pairings to the archive, so that's why new stuff gets more points.) So hey, maybe I am a little more competitive than I thought. :D

Anyway, thanks for saying. I love doing these, but it's really great to hear that someone else is enjoying too. Podfic is basically me saying, "Look at this fantastic story! I loved it and I want you to like it too!"
