Hi! New to podfic, new to amplificathon, but definitely old hat at fandom. I've started with my own stories and a couple of my twin sister's, because when I inevitably fumble my way through the early part of the learning curve, I prefer it be my own stuff (or my clone's) that bears the brunt of it. LOL! Definitely no tumblr-style tagging. We have almost maxed out the 1000 tags LJ allows us as it is!

I didn't even realize there was a tag limit on LJ (so clearly I need to hang out with more of you wild and crazy podficcing types)! What about DW, then?

The amplificathon mods were not happy with LJ due to instability and other issues, so they decided to pay for the DW comm and use it as amplificathon's home base. As a paid account DW has twice the number of tags available: 2000.

It's a bit of a mess from a tagging mod's viewpoint *cough*, but has been a sensible solution to minimize some of the problems of maintaining the list on two comms.
