It seems like parts of the podfic were missing from my earlier upload, and its taken forever, but I've finally gotten around to reuploading the story. As far as I can tell, the earlier version is missing about half of parts 2 and 3. But I uploaded all of the podfic again, just in case. Hopefully everything's here this time.

Is this story accessible to folk who don't know FF canon?

I think it should be. The story goes au before when the game starts, so it pretty much reworks most of it... or retells it from the au perspective (I'm not exactly sure how to say what I mean, but hopefully you got my point anyway).
