This is an author that I had wanted to record from almost the very beginning of my podficcing career, she's written some of my very favourite Smallville stories.

She died quite a few years ago and so I don't have permission to record this fic and that's a huge part of the reason I waited so long to record anything by her. But I feel a bit different about permission now than I did then. I hope you enjoy it and if you do then you can go and (re)discover her beautiful writing.

I am so glad you recorded this. I've been thinking a lot about what to do with really old stories where people have gafiated or passed away and...I feel like there should be a sense that they may have entered the public commons so to speak...but that may be because I'm thinking a lot about CC and BP at the moment...

Also, Thamiris fic <3<3<3

This was a totally brave thing to do, and I'm so glad you did it. ♥

I don't see anything disrespectful about it (I mean, not that you would think I would, but just to put that out there). ♥ I know it can be awkward to make that sort of decision, and I think the only person whose work I'd be looking to podfic who has passed away is someone I was close to, so I can say for sure that she would have loved podfic of her work. But I think the idea of keeping someone's work alive, especially through podfic, is wonderful. ♥

I believe she would have been thrilled for people to record her stories. I miss her. Before livejournal really took off and you could suddenly see how everyone else expresses their joy and love to authors I used to have terrible anxiety over sending 'Letter of comments' to the authors I loved. Thamiris helped get me over this. She used to send back funny detailed replies that made you want to keep writing just to see what she'd say next. I wasn't close to her, but I did love her. I for one will be happy to see new people introduced to her wonderful work.
