The Prompt: I *Am* a Real Boy, You Idiot! by akavertigo

Adam Lambert is rich, successful, notorious, and about as fond of real people as a hamster of a blender. (Trans: no touching!) For the past three years, his favorite solace is his "d.o.l.", a custom made robotic companion. But when his pet Pinocchio breaks completely, Adam throws a fit on par with an earthquake and demands his personal staff fix him, fix him, fix him. Unfortunately, the damage is too great to handle quickly.

Fearing for the safety of the company and their own skins (Adam's last "upset" nearly caused a state-wide recession), Adam's PAs contact the original creator in hopes he has a copy to fool their employer while the original gets repaired. Sadly, Simon does not. But he does have the assistant who modeled for it.

Kris' mission is simple: just pretend to be slightly brain damaged puppet for two weeks! It's no hassle as far as bodily needs/functions are concerned; the d.o.l. "sleeps" and "eats" like any other animal. And if Adam gets frisky? Just make distraught beeping sounds and he'll assume the gears are still misaligned (or something). It's the perfect plan!

Until Adam develops a taste for the real thing, Kris forgets to beep, and the TRUTH comes out.
