A ha! I'm quite excited to listen to this. I've only ever listened to two of your shorter podfics, so I'm eager to listen to you read something that's long! I vaguely remember seeing the movie this was based on a looong time ago, so I wonder how it will be translated into a J2 fic.

So, I just finished listening to this, and I thought it was absolutely gorgeous. ;_; While it didn't make me actuallycry, I basically felt on the verge of tears for the entire thing. You read this story absolutely beautifully, I can't even stress that enough. The heartbreaking emotion your voice is able to capture sort of blows my mind. I honestly can't imagine anybody else reading this story and it producing the same effect.

I thought you did a really, truly amazing job reading this, and it totally belongs on my imaginary list of Favorite Podfics Ever. :)

To me the story's always had a very distinct mood, and I was afraid I wouldn't be able to capture it. Especially since I still think that my accent is entirely wrong for it. I'm happy to know that what I felt reading the story seems to come across in my reading.

I really don't think I can imagine that story in anybody else's voice. I mean, I know it's supposed to take place in small town USA, but I just thought your voice and your accent were perfect matches for the story. You totally captured the mood.

I randomly downloading this not knowing a thing about it and had to track you down to say how much I enjoyed your reading of it. It was a super disturbing story and had me cringing in parts, but the way you performed it was just perfect - all the emotions came through so well - and by the end, I felt like there was hope.
