Fella podficcers, fella listeners, fella amplificathon enthusiasts in general, hello! This is the third third of the mod pow-wow speaking writing. The lamecore one.

I come to you today bearing silly trivia, a ridiculous tale of personal woe, and many a pom-pom to wave for our collective, challenging endeavour.

I short, I come to lift your spirits and rouse your energies, encouraging you to RECORD MOAR!

We're now in the vicinity of the halfway point of our challenge, and many minds have already seen their horizon expanded thanks to the efforts of our participants. Some have listened to fic in fandoms they'd never before dipped a toe in! Some have, gasp, gone out and mobilized new hardware, downloaded software and started recording! Some, I hear, are even doing the accents.

In the trivia category, let me dazzle you with this charming number: between this week's updating of the standings and last week's, we collectively - what am I saying, I did nothing - YOU collectively recorded over nineteen hours of fanfic. 19. Ten, plus nine. Nearly twenty HOURS. That's over a thousand minutes! And it's a mere fraction of what has been accomplished so far in amplificathon.

As for my tale of woe, it is quite simple: this third of the modsquad is having a tough time, hardware-wise, and while waiting for her laptop to get fixed, she has not been able to get even *one* piece of podfic onto her listening device since the beginning of the push. Ridiculous, no? (Toldya!)

I'm not despairing though; the merit of the whole 'drive' is that fics will live on (and on and on) in the Archive, and I'll get to them in good time. (In many-many-many minutes long good tiiiiiiiiiiime. Like, say, the whole of JULY. *g*)

To go back to fun trivia: in the past week alone you've given us a slew of Master & Commander stories, rarelit stuff from The Neverending Story and The Blue Castle, a threesome, a DCU/SPN crossover, stargateverse and Dr Who fiction, X-files, Heroes, House fic, incest, slash, gen, het... I'm not listing everything, it would be like listing every fic. Suffice it to say: you're being AWESOME. I'm overcome with all this awesome; I'm nearly drowning in podfic glee, and all this without even downloading and listening to a minute of it yet.

It is more than making up for my tale of hardware woe - I am, in truth, positively relishing the antici... pation.

So, KEEP ON KEEPING ON, FOLKS. I have much more weight to lose, hence need many more entries to wave my pompoms at from the modly sidelines.
