Someone is sitting at the desk outside his office.
Mark comes to stand by the desk. “Do I know you?”
He is given a quietly appraising look. The man stands and offers Mark his hand. “Eduardo Saverin. You’re supposed to be interviewing me.”

Date: 2012-06-24 05:01 pm (UTC)I noticed that you tagged for posting a podbook, but the links are only for mp3 and m4a. Am I missing something or did I add the tag myself in error? Which is entirely possible!

Date: 2012-06-24 06:50 pm (UTC)Did you know you can change an m4a into an m4b just by manually changing the tag? The two formats are very closely related, and that's all it takes to make the conversion. :-)

Date: 2012-06-24 08:34 pm (UTC)To tell you the truth, I don't know if anyone does, or why they would, prefer an m4a over an mp3 for podfic. Both are compressed formats, and though an m4a offers better sound quality than an mp3 (lossless compression vs lossy compression) when listening to music at high volume, the difference is not really noticeable in spoken word files, or music either, for that matter, when listened to on a portable device. Plus, an mp3 version must be made available anyway as many people do not have players compatible with m4a (or m4b) files.
It might be interesting to check in the archive to see the number of page hits an m4a gets vs the mp3 version of the same podfic. I sometimes, out of curiosity, do this for mp3s vs m4bs, but then, I'm all about the podbooks, obviously. :-)
