OK, now that I've listened to this, I have to say, it is marvelous! I found it so contemplative and lovely in the way that you read it - sort of trickles the story out slowly and gradually reveals part of Galia's rather grim backstory during her recovery. My favorite part hands down was the matter of fact way you read the bit where Galia says she knows that public nudity in Mombassa is not OK with Nyota, even though it's perfectly fine back home in her "nest". Great choice of story, I hadn't read this one but now I have the chance to appreciate it.
