This is not an official announcement at all but I thought I'd ask if people are ready to offer/look for betas.

Since we shouldn't violate anonymity for our recips, instead of readers posting looking for betas, betas will post their deets on what they are willing to listen to here, and then readers can PM compatible betas.

If you've got a rare fandom and you don't mind someone winging it, I can probably give it a go. Crossovers are good too. I've beta(read) unfamiliar fandoms before.

Max Rating: Good for anything (including all kink, extreme violence and gore, death fic, partner cheating, etc. etc.).
Max Length: Whatever length, so long as it's conceivable to give me chunks over a few weeks. Probably max out on 2/3 hours a week.
Squicks or other no-fly zones: Reservations about het fic and squick on non-consensual humiliation (also known as embarrassment fic, like watching Friends, Eddie Murphy, Ricky Gervaise, or reading original Wodehouse). But if you send me the link to the original I'll skim it and see if it'll be alright, which a lot of het will be.

I am Australian, with relatively British pronunciation. Probably won't catch US specific mispronunciations, but can confirm or correct British ones.

Max Length: I think I'm pretty much good for anything, so long as I don't have to listen to it all at once. 2 - 4 hour chunks are good.
Squicks or other no-fly zones: Rape, as mentioned above. That's mostly it, actually.

This is unlikely to become important, but English and Japanese are both my first language.

I deeply dislike audio effects and music within podfic. If they're kept to a minimum, such as transitions, I can take it, though. Ten hours of audio-effects every three minutes would probably annoy to the point of death-by-headdesk.
I'm not much into het, though I will listen to it depending on the story - it's not that I'm squicked, I simply haven't encountered much het in fandom that I liked.
