I imagine his reaction to be like this:

first he is all "YAY I GOT PODFICCED!"

BUT THEN he realises it's bloody Sherlock Holmes again. And then he is like WHY GOD WHY

And then he would be in the perpetual state of being pleased about this and wishing Holmes would just die for real and regretting caving to the readers and writing him back to life.

Ever since I learned that Doyle hated how popular his Sherlock stuff was in comparison to his actualfax, serious, come-on-guys-shut-up-already-about-Holmes-okay-I-worked-really-hard-on-this1! romantic novels or whatever, I just can't help but have so many Schadenfreude feelings :D

Yeah, I find that it's always better to maintain some distance between myself and the people responsible for entertainment. It never ends well otherwise.

Too true! It's really unfair of me, but what if people who I idolise turn out to be huge dicks? Better I just enjoy their work and leave it at that. Celebrities these days got it tough in that respect.

Luckily, I don't feel too bad about ribbing Doyle since he's kind of been dead for a long time.

Funny story: so, you know we've all been madly archiving the last week since the archive has been up and running again, right? I say that so that you might understand why I could be so freaking stupid:) Well, I spent about 7 minutes while I was archiving this looking for a place to feedback the author at the text link.

And then finally I was like, oh, yeah. *facepalm* He's a published writer. Also, he's dead.

Thanks so much Lu! I am sort of regretting my choice of cover color (BROWN? God, how much sleep were you operating on, honestly) but whatever, the cameo amused me IMMENSELY.

I'm so glad you did enjoy it! It was strange to podfic in first person at first, but I think I got the hang of it by the end. And though I do plan to genderswap more SH adventures, I don't have any more Doyle goodness yet (but I do have a bit of Sherlock BBC??)
