Date: 2012-04-18 08:47 pm (UTC)Anything with food is almost sure to win my heart. You really did a nice job with this little fic. LOL that brownies in Storeybrooke are good. I guess that rule doesn't apply for everyone's baking technique though;)
Here, have some brownie recipes:)
Brownies:
1/2 cup (2.5 oz) bleached flour
1.5 T alkalized cocoa
4 oz butter
3 oz unsweetened chocolate
2 large eggs
175 g (7/8 cups) sugar
1/8 tsp salt
3/4 tsp vanilla
3 oz bittersweet chocolate, cut in chunks (we use the dark chocolate chunks from Whole foods)
Heat oven to 325. Grease 7 x 7 pan. (8 x 12 for double recipe)
In small bowl toss chocolate chunks with 1.25 tsp of flour.
Melt together butter and unsweetened chocolate. Whisk in eggs, sugar, salt
and vanilla until smooth. Stir in flour and cocoa. Stir in chocolate
chunks.
Scrape into prepared pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 19 minutes until just set. Do not
overbake. Internal temperature should be 180.
Yogurt brownies (these are fabulous frozen and eaten with ice cream, or not frozen and eaten with ice cream:))
4 oz butter, melted
2 eggs
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup dark brown sugar
1/4 tsp kosher salt
2 oz (5/8 cups) cocoa
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup plain yogurt
1/4 cup flour
Preheat oven to 350. Grease and flour 8" square pan.
Beat eggs until fluffy and light yellow. Beat in sugars. Mix in
butter, salt, cocoa, and vanilla. Add yogurt. Stir in flour. Pour
into pan.
Bake 30-35 minutes until cake tester comes out clean.

Date: 2012-04-01 09:52 am (UTC)I changed your reader tag on the archive to 'cantarina', it should still be attached to all the work we've archived for you. I haven't edited each individual post though, so the text in each post will still have 'cantarina1' as the reader. But at least the tag has been updated, yay?
