Title: Minds Like Ours Dream Up
Author: [personal profile] blackeyedgirl
Reader: [personal profile] setra
Fandom: Sherlock BBC
Characters/Pairing: John Watson/Sherlock Holmes
Rating: PG
Summary: John can't write up the case until he finds out why. He needs to write their story true. POST SERIES TWO. MAJOR SPOILERS.
Reader's Note: This is my very first finished podfic. I prefer my stories with a bit of music, so this has some interlaced with it but I've also uploaded a version without.
Length: 43:13 / 42:51

Points: 10+4+5+5=24
(I feel like Sherlock is getting to be a well represented fandom at this point, and Sherlock/John is definitely the best represented pairing within it, but I'm sticking to the letter of the law for the time being.)

YAY! I was so hoping someone would podfic this and how cool that it's your first. I'm very much looking forward to listening, although I sadly won't be able to get to it for a while.

This is your very first podfic? Holy moly with a side of zounds and golly, I am wildly impressed! The whole thing sounds like you've been doing this for ages, and brilliantly. I loved your reading, and the way you incorporated music was a marvelous complement to both the story and your performance of it, without being intrusive. Thanks so much for recording and sharing this.

1) Aww, that's very kind of you! And no need to apologise, seriously. I am the king of late replies!
2) I haven't yet had the opportunity to get started yet, but judging by other people's comments, I'm sure it's awesome!
3) YESSS, CHI'S SWEET HOME IS THE GREATESTTTTTT.

Great job! I listened to it on my train ride the other day, and it was lovely :) Kept my earphones in until I had finished it even though I had read the story before - it was really clean, well edited and nicely performed! I loved all the dialogue bits, you made it sound really natural, and I love that in a podfic! It really is amazing that this is your first podfic - it's miles better than the things I first recorded!

I am amazed. This can't be your first podfic...It is soooo good, perfect in fact: the quality of the recording, the pace, the use of music, the EMOTIONS! It is indeed an amazing fic, but you performed it beautifully. Thank you and don't stop podficcing: it would be such a waste of talent!

I am so impressed that this is your first podfic, because you did an excellent job with it! I listened to it on the way home from work on my bike and was completely caught up in the story and your read of it. Great start, and I look forward to hearing whatever else you end up making, podfic-wise...

Fantastic first podfic outing! There's a quiet energy to both your reading and your (opening) musical choice; they complement each other (and the story!) well. Love the emotion you pour into the characters too :)

This was so lovely. I felt that you conveyed a hopeless intensity that was very moving. I thought the music worked perfectly. I really hope you continue to create podfic, you are very talented. Thanks for sharing.

Oh thank God anonymous posting is allowed here, because I really wanted to tell you how much I loved your reading of this fic, it was brilliant and so very good. It is thanks to wonderful people like you who do this for free and in their spare time, that people like me ever get to hear all those beautiful fics. I have too little time to ever read, but when I work I can listen to podfics and that is what I did today and it was brilliant, makes my life so much better and work even more enjoyable because I get the best of both worlds, work and play at the same time. So thank you, you are awesome and amazing and I just wanted to let you know!

Is this really your first podfic?! You read it so wonderfully, with emotion and heart and care. I felt as though i was with John the whole way, beautifully read. Please continue to podcast, you have a wonderful voice and your enjoyment of this fic carried through.

You just made making meat loaf magic, thank you!

I was surprised to hear this was your first podfic. Your reading was excellent. I detected some edits because of the change in speech rhythm, but otherwise it was both artistically and technically shiny.

I like how you distinguished the character's voices without attempting accents. Now I'm going to rush around find other fics, because the sound of your voice is so direct and soothing, I want it in my ears again!

Loved the podfic!
