Oooh, this is awesome! I'd started reading this way back over the summer, as a WIP, and then I put it aside (thinking to come back and read the whole thing all the way through, once it was finished) and never got back to it. I can't wait to hear how the story ends :-D

I downloaded this a while ago and finally got a chance to listen to it in the middle of the night last night while kept awake with cramps. I recovered from the cramps, but kept listening until 5 a.m. because it was so gripping! Poor Charles! Your reading was lovely, and I'm so glad you selected this story because I might never have read it otherwise.

I thought this podfic of yours was exceptionally well read and lovely to listen to, I was riveted to the story and couldn't wait to hear what happened next. I liked the way you did the subtle voice differentiations, and there was a lot of internal vs external dialog, so that must have been difficult to pull off. I could almost always tell when something was one vs the other, though, even without any voice affects, so that is a testament to your mad podficcing skills!

Thank you so much!! I'm very glad you liked this and that the distinction came across. I was thinking about using an effect for thoughts like I have for other X-men podfics. However given that part of the point of this story was how delicate the line between thought and speech is for this Charles, and how very blurred that line has become, I kept it without effects. So it's really lovely to hear that it translated. Thank you!

The file was too big for mediafire, unfortunately, I just didn't change my posting formating properly. I'll edit that. I have an mp3 of the file of this podfic but it is not currently available anywhere online due to it's size. I'm working with Paraka to have a space on her server to upload longer files like these as an alternative to now-defunct megaupload links. I'll comment as soon as the mp3 is online/available.
