Excerpt:  Ray was a sucker for pizza, and so it was over a large half-pineapple, half-extra cheese pizza at Mama Carmela's that Fraser suddenly looked up and said, "We've been friends for some time now, haven't we, Ray?"
Ray had, at that moment, brought a slice of pizza halfway to his mouth, but he'd been married for fifteen years and he knew an important relationship-conversation-opener when he heard one, so he put the pizza down. "Yeah, Fraser. We sure have."
Fraser nodded, like Ray was just confirming something he'd already suspected. "And while we haven't always seen eye to eye on things, it's certainly safe to say that we've established a rapport, right?"
"Right," Ray agreed, and joined Fraser in a hearty round of nodding.  "We are just chock full of rapport, you and me."

Cool, it is great to hear that there are things I can improve on, and yes, it is hard to know what to improve on if people just tell you that they liked what you did. (Though that is always welcome, too!) I didn't know you were a fellow podficcer, that is awesome! I just went to your journal and downloaded Neal Caffrey vs. The BBC, that looks delightful and I will be sure to leave you some feedback after I get a chance to hear it. As for the popping on the p's, I used to have problems with that, but found if you use a wind screen or microphone cover or just tip the microphone slightly away from you when you're pronouncing those words that pop, it helps a lot. I think that the next time I record something I will put a bit more time into the differentiation between voices. It's good feedback and I'm happy to have it - some characters are easier to do that with than others, don't want to tip the line between differentiation into campiness... I tried something with that particular piece about the hockey, which was to record each character's dialog separately and edit them together, but maybe even more would work even better... Thanks again!

Oh dear, I wouldn't call myself a podficcer yet--I'm still such a newbie! I'm working on my second one now, and while the sound quality is a lot better since I'm using a real microphone this time, I'm still have trouble with my plosives popping--so thank you for the tips!
